But in all seriousness, not cool to be mocking somebody's hobbies. Everyone has their own thing. Who are we to judge?

Sure, but I think there's a problem when you're so engrossed in a hobby that you can't even see whatever social stigmas or prejudices might be attached to it. I think everybody should be able to do their thing, but I get the impression that Jimmy flaunts it when maybe he should tone it down a notch if he wants to be sociable.
I love satanic Norwegian black metal but I don't attempt to start a conversation on church burnings and devil worship with every new person I meet. Well, maybe if I do it kinda tongue in cheek, but I think Jimmy lacks that skill.

Good point. Can't argue with that.

So what if my Facebook cover rotates between my railroad photography, I have gotten real complements from accomplished photographers for them. Train stuff is what I am good at. I hate soccer and football, love hockey, like auto racing, and hate most modern popular music. I refuse to "keep up with the kartrashians", and would rather go chase a train than go to a rap concert. I'm a selective mute.
Oh, also, totally stupid 3:30 a.m. beginner guitar question for y'all, but: is it normal for a guitar to make noise while you're tuning it? When I go to tighten the higher strings, sometimes I hear a tiny little ping noise that almost sounds like a piano. I broke the high e string awhile ago because I was screwing around and I didn't know what I was doing, and that was the last thing I heard before it snapped, so now I'm a little [read: extremely] gunshy about tuning it.

stuff like "I hate most modern popular music" and "the kartrashians" is why people think you're weird
You won't get any cool points for hating mainstream media and culture. Nobody likes a grump.

high e-strings are fucking scary when it comes to tuning, I always hide my head behind the guitar because I'm terrified the string will snap and pierce my eyeball.
as far as the ping is concerned I don't think that's too outlandish, also congrats on the show, looks awesome

Try tuning a 12 string...... That's more nerve wracking.

A few years back I was always tuning steps down and half-steps down and then up again and vice-versa to get that "'59 Sound" ya know and the number of individual high e-strings I've had to buy because I broke those fuckers is ridiculous.
Try to copy a good video tutorial exactly and don't wind it up aggressively or fast. Good luck
Yeah, I tend to hold the thing as far away from my face/body as I can and turn the pegs as slowly as possible. I feel like I'm playing a game or something because each level is scarier and more challenging than the last. On one hand it's good to know I'm not alone, but on the other I was kinda hoping my fears were irrational.

As a fellow pet lover, I'm very sad to hear that. Stay strong - remember the good times.
Best way to honor a deceased pet is to share photos, videos and stories of them. Got any photos? What's your favorite story about him/her?
