You definitely need to check out Gamla stan, old town. Parts of it are sadly clogged to hell with tacky tourist shops, but spend some time walking around and you'll find plenty of gorgeous houses, streets, alleyways and what have you.
I suggest you check out Monteliusvägen, which is a boardwalk located at the top of a cliff, so you'll be overlooking Stockholm and the water.

Where I live it's never too cold and it's near the beach and everything, so I'm one of those people who think snow is something magical and amazing haha also, pretty! So it was definitely a good time to visit I think.

Mostly wandered around a lot in Gamla Stan, Södermalm and Norrmalm. Ended up going to the museum of modern art and the photography museum, which was excellent, really cool exhibitions.

We also went up to Uppsala yesterday for a day trip, that was nice too

Ha nice! We wanted to get out of Stockholm for a day but everything else was deemed too far by our google research haha we just walked around in the snow for a bit, went to the cathedral and up to the castle! Then bought a bunch of comics at a store on the way back downtown, cause we're geeks like that, had a vegan burger at max's and went back to Stockholm! If I'd known you were from there I'd have asked for more tips hehe

This is a random question because I see it everywhere. What do you think is behind the omnipresence of skulls/skeletons in punk rock imagery?

Imo, it goes back to the pirates of the high seas. They flew under the jolly Rodger- a skull and crossbones. Pirates flew the flag with a skull as a symbol of saying "we're not under control of the English navies" so it could translate into "screw your rules, we're doing it our way"

I'm so sorry, I haven't been online since then...but no I wasn't at that festival..but I will go to the 'Japan Tag' in Düsseldorf..

So last night for the very first time I listened to The Gaslight Anthem while smoking weed. It was a sublime experience.

I listened to The '59 Sound from start to finish, and it's never sounded so good, hoooooly shit it sounded amazing! I've never been a huge fan of the title track but god damn it was great. So that was my friday night.

Anyway what have you guys been up to?

Dad died. Quit one job, got another. Been ready to give up on playing music. Feeling worthless again. Let my hair grow down to my shoulders. Got rid of all facial hair. Gave up on wanting any romantic feelings. Accepted the fact I am a joke of a human being and a failure at life.

Totally get this. Alittle over a month ago I found my GFs Dad dead. Basically a guy who became a father to me over the last 4-5 years more than my dad ever was. It definitely scars, but definitely makes you stronger. I can only offer my perspective but utilize your family around you. And it’s ok to cry. 100% bawled for about a week. Not ashamed of that.
