- So, here's a cover of Miles Davis & The Cool that I recorded by myself this past weekend. You have to excuse my pronunciation (english is not my native language) and some parts are a bit pitchy (especially in the chorus and the bridge, for some reason I find it quite hard to find the right pitch and hit the notes in those parts). I really HATE my singing voice but there's not much I can do about it. Some of Alex R's guitar parts are also kinda improvised since there's no complete tab around but hey, I think it sounds pretty good. I also use a drum machine, so the drums sound a bit mechanic and that's why the dynamics looks crazy. Anways enough with the excuses, here it is: http://soundcloud.com/humble-trembles/miles-davis-the-cool-cover/s-S7Vhr
This is really nice! I like it! Your voice reminds me a lot of Carrie Brownstein's, which is not a bad thing at all. Nice work! |

How about an acoustic version of Meet Me By the River's Edge? |

Never thought of that, might give it a shot. It's the same progression throughout so if I do it I might change the styles and whatnot. - stepsandnumbers wrote:

How about an acoustic version of Meet Me By the River's Edge? YES. Easily has become one of my favs. I think the bridge might be one of my favorite parts to any TGA songs..

Thank you all for your kind words. I might try to record another cover if I have the time.

| Nice cover, Jimmy! It felt a little shaky at first, like you were overthinking it maybe, but about halfway through the song you seemed to get into it and relax a little and it sounded really good. I always think of OWL as a really fun, nostalgic song and just hearing it makes me happy, so maybe next time you play it you could try to smile a little as you sing to make your performance a little more upbeat. Just a suggestion! | |

| About two months ago, I recorded six acoustic songs for my girlfriend's 18th birthday... There are three own songs and three covers on the CD. One of them covers was Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts. She enjoyed it, I hope you do as well http://soundcloud.com/stefan-kollee/06-blue-jeans-white-t-shirts | |

http://soundcloud.com/stefan-kollee/06-blue-jeans-white-t-shirts That's pretty awesome. I'd tone it down a little bit on the industrial background sounds because I find them a bit distracting, but overall a very well produced and well sung cover.

| I couldn't sleep last night, so I decided to record a cover of She Loves You. It's not the best thing I've done, and I should've made the guitar a bit louder, but I thought a few of you might enjoy it anyways!
