| Hey guys.
I'm Willie, and as you can see, I'm new here. I hope I'm posting this in the right place, and that I'm not making a duplicate thread.
Anyways, I thought it would be cool if we posted some of our own covers of TGA songs. I've seen threads like this on other band-centric forums and it's always a good time.
Here is my cover of Miles Davis and the Cool that I did a couple weeks ago.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtT0_gGVvX4&feature=related
I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to seeing other people's contributions.

| This is a duplicate thread but it's been a long time so I don't think it really matters.
I like your cover. You have a great voice. Do you have any originals?

I like your cover. You have a great voice. Do you have any originals? Thanks a lot! I really appreciate that. I do have some original material, both under my own name and under a folk rock band, Beard of Spiders. my solo stuff: willieversteeg.bandcamp.com Beard of Spiders: beardofspiders.bandcamp.com Hope you like it! Also, Kropotkin, no they haven't well Saturdays and Sundays are noise free, but by the looks of it they still have a looooong ways to go

| Okay...
I'm still trying to learn to sing so let me know what you think. There are some screw ups in there. Timing mistakes in Boxer, and I hit a wrong chord somewhere in Woody Joe. But mostly they are decent.

| Hey, those were great, Simo. You've got a good foundation for a beginning singer I think. Singing is mostly just practice. There's very little to learn about it, in my limited experience. Timing issues are expected with a song like Boxer. Brian's lyric phrasing has gotten harder to emulate on American Slang. He likes to pack too many words into lines . Its not from AS, but I can never sing the last couple lines of We Came to Dance because there are so many damn words right after "TWO STEP!" Anyways, keep up the good work! | |

| Thanks! I feel like I have improved a lot as a singer just since I started trying when I picked up the guitar about a year ago. I used to think I could never sing but now I think I am getting there.
I know what you mean about Brian putting too many words in there. Some lines just seemed like one too many syllables.

| Hey, all your covers are pretty good! I also did an acoustic cover of The 59 Sound. just added some reverb to the vocals to get that "59 sound" http://drop.io/y5cscyu | |

But I havent much experience in recording yet, that take was my second vocal recording so far. I really liked the effect. It's not a conventional reverb sound but I thought it worked very well. And I loved the way you had some lead guitar in there too.

| I have a more downbeat acoustic cover of 1930 and a fun one of SeƱor and The Queen that my buds, including Wonderson189, helped out with moments before going to the most recent Ogden show Here is just the link to my little profile on Soundcloud, the previously mentioned tunes are there. I'm literally getting my original stuff recorded as we speak, then a friend of a friend, who's a music producer/performer is gonna check em out! I'd love the REAL fans critique though! http://soundcloud.com/you/tracks | |

Cause the link just says "you." I'm pretty sure that's like the generic profile link for someone who's logged in. I found you though: http://soundcloud.com/the-well-being

| Hey simo, I'm glad you liked it. But I'm not at home right now, so I'm not really sure what the effect is called. But it's a plugin for Kristal audio engine. When I get home I'll post it. | |
