| Announcement should be up any second now. Are you pumped? You should be pumped. apparently its now 4 days? Their facebook cover photo has four days. Or it could just be like, pre-fest shows on Thursday again. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Not sure I could survive four days of actual fest. (still nothing. thought it was going up at noon =( ) ---------------------- For it being April, I think we are off to a really amazing start with our booking for FEST 12 and BIG PRE-FEST IN LITTLE YBOR. 110 band confirmed so far including: The Bouncing Souls, Braid, Boy Sets Fire, A Wilhelm Scream, The Dopamines, The Flatliners, Mean Jeans, The Menzingers, Mustard Plug, No Trigger, Off With Their Heads, Teenage Bottlerocket, Torche, Masked Intruder, Big D and the Kids Table , Code Orange Kids, I am the Avalanche, The Copyrights, Banner Pilot, Broadway Calls, Citizen, Calculator, Blacklist Royals, Crusades, Great Cynics, Heartsounds, Look Mexico, Luther, Restorations, Red City Radio, Smith Street Band, Elway, Sundials, Broadcaster and many, many more including special REUNION sets from THE DRAFT and ANN BERETTA! So like. Its a fest lineup. No Lawrence Arms yet. Also no Fake Problems. | great lineup already!
i know Gaslight doesn't really fit at Fest anymore, but how cool would it be if they played it and did a Sink or Swim album show?

Somehow I figured that would be your response my top ten of guys announced so far (in no order) Arliss Nancy Banner Pilot Bouncing Souls Captain, We're Sinking Elway No Trigger Red City Radio Restorations The Menzingers Tiny Empires Souls are so far the only band that didn't play last year that I'm really excited about. But like, lots of bands will still be announced. Still got my fingers crossed for Sharks / Banquets / Lawrence Arms to get announced later. But like, even without any other bands I like getting added its still a really good lineup

| Well they are the best band/best people playing so it was valid.
Here are the bands I want to see that I've never seen before. I've seen 31 of those listed bands before.
Braid The Smith Street Band You Blew It! (missed them at SSF, so dumb, so dumb) Weak Teeth Torche Paul Baribeau (I've had countless chances, and i've missed ever single opportunity) and of course The Draft

Yeah. I've heard Frank pimp The Smith Street Band before so I should probably check them out. Never actually bothered getting into the Draft before, should probably fix that. Also kinda want to skank it up with Big D and Mustard Plug. Will have to wait and see what the schedule looks like.

| Smith Street Band are pretty good, lots of fun.
Only necessary bands listed so far for me to see are Timeshares, Hold Tight!, Sundials, You Blew It!, and Aspiga
I'm hoping they add Go Rydell's last show, This Is Your Life, Modern Baseball, The Wild, Balance and Composure (as a bigger band), and Podactor

| Modern Baseball would certainly be nice
Also Title Fight. Do those guys have something against Fest? They seem like they'd be a Fest band but they haven't played either of the last two years.

| This could be their year, they are more into the hardcore fests than anything. I feel like they don't fit in at This is Hardcore, yet they have played the past 4 years. Does seem strange though, you are right. | |

| heh. there is a hardcore festival here in a few months. I haven't heard of any of the bands playing. except the Bouncing Souls who are headlining for some bizzare reason. | |

| Rename this thread: Colin and Drew talk Fest.
Regardless.
Rain Fest is supposedly awesome. Stop At Nothing are playing the pre-fest show. Shook Ones are worth it though.

| Oh yeah, I've heard some decent stuff about Shook Ones.
But like, seeing souls at fest (probably). Not worth wading through a day of hardcore just to see them here. I'll just keep my ear to their wall and hope they also wind up doing something else around the same time. (last time they were here did they a record store thing the afternoon before their show. which I of course missed but thats another story)

| Never got to go to one of the warehouse shows. I only went to one "secret" show. I also didn't go to the show at Sanam and Josh's room. Some things need to change this Fest. | |

| I'm always too straight arrow to enjoy warehouse shows / hotel room shows. Spend too much time being like "duuuuude what if someone gets upset and security/cops show up". Of course, that should probably change too. Live a little, right? | |

| Just like 13 hours till tickets go on sale and more bands get announced!
Still not sure if I actually want a holiday inn room. Costs more and don't like the idea of finding more random people off the fest boards again... but I guess its only $20 if I can't fill it up with decent seeming people. And its a lot nicer than the craphole I was in last year. Is your group gonna try and get a holiday inn room Colin?
Also like, I imagine they are going to go really really fast (< 5 minutes) this year. So might not even get one especially if the site crashes and then I'm not around when they go back up.

| Some bands have already trickled on there: D4, Daylight, Lipstick Homicide, Samiam among others
Yeah we are shooting for the holiday inn. Gonna be on the site and have it crash on me most likely, but hey. gotta do it.

| "we just added a bunch more new bands to #FEST12 and #prefestybor Samiam, D4, Lemuria, Iron Chic, Retox, Cobra Skulls, Tim Barry and more."
I also see Mixtapes appeared (least surprising news ever!). Also American Lies -- saw those guys play a show here a while back and they were pretty good.
Also I don't think I saw Nothington.
Still no Fake Problems / Banquets / Sharks / Lawrence Arms / Modern Baseball =(
