NEW VENUE FOR FEST 13
This year we have a slight change in venues for FEST 13. The Florida Theater closed down. We hope someone awesome takes it over, but we just can’t wait around to see if that can happen. As many of you heard we have been working very closely with the city of Gainesville to be able to expand FEST and use city property. They have granted our wishes, and we will be moving forward with plans to utilize the BO DIDDLEY PLAZA for FEST 13. We will be fencing off the area, bringing in killer sound and lights and pretty much making it a kick ass FEST world for all of you. We still have not gotten a final verdict on what the capacity will be, but we all are hoping it will be a much larger space so you all will have a chance to catch all the headliners this year. Stay tuned for more info as we work more with the city on making this the best FEST yet!

Really great, and that is with knowing they'll add another 20-30 good bands when all is said and done.

I've starred all the ones you shouldn't miss.

Lifetime, Descendents, Marked Men, Modern Life is War. Most stoked on.....Lifetime

I'm a bad punk and not all that stoked on Lifetime or Descendents.

Maybe I just need to get into them more? But I'd probably rather check out some smaller band when they are playing.

I have seen 63 of the bands this year so far. Probably will see more before The Fest actually happens.

kinda wanna try pre-fest this year. Not that much more, get to see more bands... and as long as you take it easy during pre-fest the whole five days should be doable.

The lack of Iron Chic on this list stinks. I'm sure they will come with the next wave of bands. ****Fingers crossed for The Steinways too****

I can't imagine Iron Chic not playing Fest... (provided they didn't get banned. Apparently Great Lakes got banned. but my guess is that they just need some more bands to announce later)

MoBo. Junior Battles. Spraynard. Ben Nichols (But No lUcero??). HWM (Then again, Chuck was announced before HWM so maybe Lucero). Sure there are others that didn't jump out at first pass.

I'm set on my room. Trying for the HI again. My friend has an itchy clicker finger.

Everyone Everywhere is the other big one for me in this wave of bands, even though they are local they never play. Other local sweethearts MoBo and Hundred Acre Woods getting announced is tight as well. HWM 20th year anniversary is going to be insane. Spraynard reunion is going to be the craziest thing to happen at Fest, since most people never saw them to begin with (1982 and Mars Pub were WAY too small for them at Fest 10). The Weaks and Chalk Talk I'm also excited for.

I'm not sure how many more waves of bands there are. But this year is looking crazy. MAAAANNNNNNNNNNN.

Still some regular fest bands missing (Iron Chic, Nothington, Fake Problems, No Trigger...) so figure there are still at least a couple more waves. Maybe two more and then a final "some bands had to drop so here is who we got to replace them" one.

Just found out that a band from my shitty little nowhere town is playing Fest 13, they're called Smalltown. Not my favorite band by any means but you should check out their stuff on Spotify if you have it, Back on track and Solitude are pretty sweet songs.
