| Peej confirmed its gonna be October 26th-28th so its offically not-too-early to start talking about it. Is the hotdog going to be returning Colin or are you going to surprize us with something else this year? | |

| I've got some tricks up my sleeve for this year...But I'll be donning the hotdog again come October. Hopefully people are down for what I'm trying to pull.
In fact, I was thinking about breaking it out for the BtMI/Classics of Love mega show at the Church. But I don't think it would be right.
What are some bands you want to be there Drew? I'm hoping for (trying not to repeat any from last year) :
CSTVT Joyce Manor Direct Hit! Lifetime Hard Skin Candy Hearts Fakey P's Street Smart Cyclist Murder City Devils - Headliner Seaweed The Lawrence Arms - Headliner Crucial Dudes Hostage Calm End of a Year I Am The Avalanche

| Fakey Ps and Franky Ts would both certainly go a long way towards making me go back (don't wanna commit to it before seeing the lineup =P)
Loved Ones and/or Larry Arms (lets say and) would be awesome as well.
Lots of bands that played last year I'd love to see again (Flatliners, Menzingers, Banquets, BLR, Junior Battles, Mixtapes...). There were a bunch i'd enjoy seeing I missed due to conflicts. Most of the bands in the scene that I was familiar with actually played last year, so there are not a ton of others I'd really love to see. Probably just means I should check out moar bands =P
If we're talking bands that no way will ever fucking happen, Descendents would be sick.

| Flatliners/Menzingers and Dead Landlord/Banner Pilot scheduling sucked last year. But there are so many good bands it really doesn't matter where you go.
Descendents would be sick. They were pretty good at Riot Fest, PJ and Tony don't have that kind of money though.

Speaking of Banner Pilot and Fest just got back from of a show of their's with Broadway Calls. Hadn't actually listened to a ton of their stuff before but I had nothing better to do, liked the stuff I had heard and like Broadway Calls. Show was completely fantastic and now I can't wait for fest I think I'm probably going to wind up listening to Division Street like ten times tomorrow.

no Fakey Ps or Menzingers currently, but those could have just been missed. Awesome to see Frank Turner back on there too.
Now we just need Tony to confirm the lineup and give us a date we can expect tickets to go on sale =D

| Official fest announcement is up! http://www.thefestfl.com/fest11/news
Registration is goanna start on April 20th. I'm busy that weekend, so hopefully the hotel rooms won't sell out by Monday. Let me know if your interested and if you wanna do Friday-Sat-Sun or add Thursday as well. (Apparently there are gonna be some pre-fest shows in Gainsville proper this year rather than Tampa. Plus early registration. But it might be cheaper to find a motel on Thursday... and only use holiday inn for Fest proper)

| Wow they sold 1,500 passes in one day and the holiday inn sold out in 45 minutes. This thing is getting to be huge. | |

| Bummer that Holiday Inn is already sold out... now I donno if I should wait and see if some more spots open up and I can grab them or just pick some other one (and if so... where). Like, not too disappointed to miss out on the holiday inn festitives, but I imagine others going would be. I'm honestly content to have a place I can sleep and store my stuff without it getting stolen.
Tickets bought. At the rate they are going I certainly didn't want to wait on that. Now that the Menzingers and Front Bottoms got added the lineup is even more stacked. Still needs some Fake Problems/Banquests/Sharks but there are already going to be some painful collisions. Those three would just make it worse.

He's honestly not a favorite of mine. I'll see him if it fits in my schedule, but won't go out of my way to do so.
