Fest 12!

ticket time gogogo

site is going really slow. made it to the ticket page and added my fest tickets, but then it died trying to add the hotel

wooo got a holiday inn room

and i missed the holiday inn rooms because I want a 2 bed, they only have 1 beds leftover now.....dumbdumbdumb

awww. well I have three spots if one of your friends has to back out / finds manages to find another holiday inn spot.

even the king rooms are sold out now. 30 minutes total. how long did it take the doubles to sell out?

I went on at 4:10 and they were gone. Bummer. They probably aren't getting a room until later....dummies. Looks like its gonna be ABVI. Can't say I didn't try though.

yeah they went really fast.

Days Inn is probably a better bet than ABVI. You are right next to ABVI for any of the parking lot shenanigans that go down there, but I think the Days Inn is slightly nicer.

(just avoid the ABC motel to ABVI until you wait too long and the other two are gone)

In a bizarre awesome turn of events I'm in the Holiday Inn. My group of buds managed to finagle a room. A lot can happen in an hour and 18 minutes. I'll seeya there Drew!

sure if you know good people that want space certainly better than taking my chances with random schmuks on the fest boards

More bands announced!

Banquets, OWTH, and The Holy Mess are the standouts for me.

Apparently I heard it was Knapsack. Would be cool if true. My friend is gonna text me about MB being on the lineup, apparently they are slated to find out soon.

That was the first band I stumbled upon when I went looking around last.fm for fest-type bands that broke up in 2000.

So Modern Baseball wants to play but there isn't necessarily space? That would be a bummer. They seem at least decently big (for fest standards) by their last.fm playcounts...

still concerned about the lack of fake problems announcement. I mean, sure they aren't your stereotypical 'fest band" but they still play most years and if I'm missing the Restorations/Captain/Menzingers tour I was hoping at least to see all those guys at fest. guess I'll keep my fingers crossed that they open for Frank's fall US tour. Or maybe they'll still be added to fest.

Only once a year, but there are other similar fests that happen throughout the year like Pouzza Fest, Stay Sweet Fest, and I Got Brains! Fest. But those are waaaay smaller.

I'm just stoked that I know so many people playing this year.

never gotten to see them before. so pumped. still no Fake Problems or Sharks but like honestly now that Lawrence Arms are confirmed I am completely happy with this lineup.

i was happy after the first announcement.....haha. but yeah, its awesome that they are playing.

At first I was like "I'm happy with this lineup and will completely enjoy my fest experience if no one else gets added" and now its "I'm perfectly content with this lineup and honestly adding any other bands won't help my excitement at all"

btw, have you found any legit people who want a holiday inn room? still need to get that filled.

Woo even more good bands added. Wasn't expecting Junior Battles... thought they were on haitus for awhile while one of their guys was overseas. But won't complain =) Doubt they'll be able to top their harvey danger cover form last year but a man can dream.

Even with four days, there pretty much guaranteed to be a sucky conflict though. Part of fest. Rather have too many good bands playing than not enough for sure =)

Drew, talked to the Modern Baseball kids and they are still on the waiting list to get on the lineup. I thought they were the "it" band right now. Ah well.

plus they apparently are only joining Mixtapes on the non-west coast half of their tour =(

I mean. Still got like way too many bands at fest to even see so I'm not *too* bummed but I was hoping to see those dudes.

Just went to that tour on Friday! Left before mixtapes played, but man you blew it is incredible. Def not missing their set at Fest.

not a mixtapes fan? Their music tends to range from 'alright' to 'pretty good' with a few great songs thrown in, but their shows are awesome.

never really been able to get into You Blew It... not sure why
