Fest 10

I hope they don't add anymore, i actually want to see hot water music/lifetime/dillinger four (my must see bands) and not have to be stuck outside. which I hear is the biggest problem of the fest.

Apparently Gaslight was first on his list of bands he wanted to come but they couldn't make it due to recording / apparently one of them has to be in a wedding. Also like, while unsaid, I don't really picture gaslight as a fest kind of band any more. They still have their punk roots, yes, but they would probably be the least punk band at fest if they played. (Of course, because of their punk roots everyone there would still love them. just like if springsteen played everyone would lose their shit. but I still doesn't see Gaslight as a fest band anymore)

well they got Ted Leo this year who I wouldn't consider punk and the podcast talks about how Tony's dream is to get Superchunk.

So I guess to him it doesn't really matter if the band is punk or not. It all comes down to money.

I mean, I honestly think in Gaslights case it was more either Brian not wanting to do fest regardless of the price or them legitamently being busy and not a money thing. They are not the kind of band to hold out for money reasons.

On the other hand, the interview said Benny might show up to fest. If he does we should find a way to get him to show up to our fansite get together. =D

well, I was talking about Tony. From what I got thru the interview, he doesnt care what genre of bands play the fest. To him, its about if he can afford them or not.

As for TGA's case. I know Alex Levine is getting married sometime this year. So maybe that's why they couldn't play.

I'm pretty sure the "It's over" was in reference to Chris retweeting like 50 different people in a span of 5 minutes.

Also, excited to be seeing Fake Problems tomorrow night. Wish they were headlining though. I'm not really into Hellogoodbye from what I've heard.

Thank god. For once I'm grateful for their twitter spam then. ha. Twitter isn't loading for me completely so that tweet from him was the only thing I could see. But I just heard back; ALL IS GOOD! No Fest, but things are okay.

Flight is booked, I am sooooo excited. Clucky just get in touch with me whenever you want money for the hotel ! Even getting back on Halloween day to do Hallowmas in Philly, I am absolutely insane.

Sucks that fake problems isn't playing anymore. But Peej on the fest boards said it was because they were offered a spot on a tour they couldn't refuse. So hopefully we'll see big news out of their camp soonish.

I'm intrigued about that tour...it must be something really special cause it's hard to see Fake Problems turn down the fest.
