| I don't think you tri-state folks realize how lucky you are to have so many bands like Gaslight and Dave Hause living and playing so much nearby. Maybe it's an illusion but it seems like there's much more chatter on here about shows on the East coast that people are heading to. It's like, in other parts of the world, you have to wait for em to come to your general area every year or two haha. In other news, I have a newfound appreciation for the lyrics to Pray for Tuscon, realizing that it is about Dave himself. He's turning a song that seems like it's about religion or lack thereof into how his recovery is such a struggle. It presents the average guy's deepest and most unspoken types of thoughts, and it's amazing. That's what makes all of this music we love so good, the honesty that cuts to the core | |

I take advantage of it all the time. I'm just not a huge Dave Hause solo fan. Putting it out there for the real fans and whatnot.

| Dave Hause's new album is now streaming on -- of all places -- The Wall Street Journal web site.

| 'Devour' really is a great album from start to finish. There is not a weak song in my opinion and after just one listen it is impossible to pick a standout track such is the quality. To me this is a massive leap forward from 'Resolutions' which although I enjoyed, there were a few noticeably weaker tracks for me on that album. I love the way that he incorporates lyrics from all of the previous songs on 'Devour' in the final song 'Benediction'. Hats off to you Mr Hause. Can't wait to hear these songs played live next month! | |

| I always try to wait til the CD comes out to listen to an album... I broke...
Seriously awesome album! Linking all the songs together is a really great piece of writing. Still not a fan of The Shine though, I was hoping it'd grow in me in the context of the album.

| The Shine is the only spot where the lyrics verge on corny for me, not huge on "my melodies grow little wings" and the "if you've got the shine shine on" part
Father's Son is my favorite, just a badass song

| Just got my copy of the Vinyl today. It pays to pre-order! Pretty clear they spared no expense on this one. And it's worth every penny. Just awesome. | |

| Yes... Verges on... However, I have to say that the 'if you've got the shine' bit is really fun live but doesn't sound right on the album at all.

Trust me I was not expecting it yet! I didn't even get an email telling me it was on its way. What a surprise when it arrived. And it is a spectacular piece of art, rivaling the best 2-album sets of the 70s.

| I can't stop listening to this stream, I think this album is unbelievable. Some really dark and heavy lyrics, man this is good. My pre-order better get here soon, at least others are getting theirs already though.
"Bradley Beach would be fine" - hearing your town in a song by one of your favorite artists sure is something. Here's hoping Dave opens for one of the Bouncing Souls Home for the Holidays shows.
