The Gaslight Anthem title new record 'American Slang'

So I dont know if people saw this from Brians twitter yesterday, but today they go into, or are currently in, the studio for the first day of recording of American Slang.

wow, not bad. my band made an album (well, 10 songs) in 2 days once. not nearly as good as TGA though.

there's a dude who recorded the concert on youtube but he refuses to give "bring it on"

I think someone said he had it but didn't want to upload it because the band asked him not to. or something like that...

that's understandable, they probably wanna keep the stuff on the DL until sideonedummy says its okay
i'm sure a recording will get out in the near future

hopefully something will leak when everythings properly recorded.

maybe they'll get into the whole release a single months before an album thing that pop stars do so that could be it

UK tour in June, with a nice Glastonbury shaped hole as well. Can't wait!

I'm sure he just made that up, since apparently El Jefe Design (The guy who does their most recent posters) is going to do it? At least that's what Brian implied at the Black Cat show.

That's cool, because I made up two covers for the new album page on my website (to brighten it up a bit), and one of them I based on a El Jefe poster.

ditto that second one is great! im sure if the same guy who did those posters is doing their new album cover, it'll look pretty sweet.

okay so I didn't realize El Jefe Design was the name of the company who did the posters, and when somebody said El Jefe was doing the album cover, I totally thought they meant the dude from NOFX was doing the cover, and I was really confused
