New Poll: 2015 "top 25 TGA songs" (VOTE NOW)

i tried to be pretty objective about my list, like the most unique songs I tended to rank higher. I'm assuming the 59 Sound will have the most on the list, but Handwritten and American Slang were surprisingly right behind it for me

Also i feel like Gaslight songs are better the more emotional and epic they are

I enjoy Get Hurt more than Handwritten overall, but Handwritten apparently has more standout tracks for me.

Yeah, my layout was almost the exact opposite of how I rank the albums. I think it's just that some albums, while having a lot of songs I like, just aren't consistent. Put differently, I prefer an album full of songs I really like than an album with songs I don't mixed with some I love. Handwritten, for instance, has more "singles" I like than 59 Sound, but the latter has duds (to me) like Desire and Too Much Blood whereas 59 Sound is completely solid.

And I'd be curious to see the point totals for each album. Because while SoS only has 4 songs on my list, they're all damn near the top.

Really struggled with this, in the end just went for it on instinct which is probably the best advice I can give.
Ended up with 2 from Get Hurt which I think is probably slightly biased, maybe in a few years I'll put more in, but I was really conscious of not wanting to go for those songs just because they were fresh in my mind

Why is the itunes version of boxer on the list but not the itunes version of Navesink banks?

it would've probably been somewhere in the mid 30s for me. I like it more than the original. Unfortunately even with all the clunkers on the last two albums there are still too many good gaslight songs for a top 25

Well to be fair, the two versions of Boxer are VERY different. The itunes version of Navesink Banks just sounds like a live version of the song.

And someone had asked about including the itunes version of Boxer so I'd imagine they're at least considering putting it on the list.

This made me realize I never actually decided my favourite gaslight song.I ended up choosing Handwritten, but I'm not completely sure.
I didn't pick any cover but if I had to choose one it would have been This is where we part, I constantly listened to it in the past days.
I did not remember exactly the number of songs I picked for every record but almost the whole American Slang found its way on the chart.

done. really hard to choose 25. my favourite one is 'great expectations' ! maybe not at the moment but when i think about how often i heard this song and others...i tried to include which and how much i listened to the songs over the last 6 or 7 years.
i like the poll because its the first time i tried to think about my top 25. like the sink or swim lp, i used to listen to it as a album not only the different songs. so thats awesome.

It was very difficult. When I think about the songs I left out... oh man, so many good songs to choose from.

this is such a difficult thing i just did

Ok everyone. Entering the last day to get a submission in! Cutting it off after today (feb 10th) so if you haven't done it, or know someone who should. Nows the chance!
