New Poll: 2015 "top 25 TGA songs" (VOTE NOW)

Hi everyone! Hope your 2015 is starting out great!

So a few years ago we did a poll of the top 25 gaslight anthem songs. It's been a few years, and many new songs have been released so let's do it again!

The way it works. Rank your own personal top 25 TGA songs. Points will be assigned to each ranking, totaled with everyone else's, and we get an average of which are the best.


So start with 25 points, this is your favorite song, and count down to 1 ( your least favorite)

Please answer only in the 25 - 1 format!

DO NOT answer more than 25 songs. Or answer any other numbers than 25-1. And please do not rank every song the same number. We WILL NOT count your response if you do any of these OR other things that will impact the results negatively.

Sessions I more of meant like the cardinal sessions. Personally I count iTunes sessions as a release. But if someone objects, we can not.

And as an aside, they released "This Is Where We Part" as a bonus track on the physical Get Hurt CD sold through Best Buy. I only know this because that's where I bought the CD.

Everyone would do their own 25. Similar to the first one (based on a point system, check that first thread to see how it was ran.)
The list is so we are hoping to have a more automated version this time and we want to make sure we aren't forgetting any songs.

(I seem to be in the minority though, so I'll go back and quietly listen to the album version by myself and dream of one day hearing it played that way again live )

I'm with you here. The iTunes version is cool and everything, but I just heard it once and thought, "huh, that's a cool take on the song," then put American Slang back on. It's not even close for me.

Alright everyone, Were getting ready to go with this so, last call on songs to be added to the list. I've updated it with everything mentioned so far. I'll keep this open till tomorrow. The survey should be up within the next few days.

I think it's been 2 albums since the last one? so it will be exciting to see a comparison of the two!

Yep, I know it's a little confusing. The last survey had you just rank them and points were then assigned. We were looking to make it automated so we are having you enter in the points yourself.

Whew. That was tough, but I decided to not over think it and figured the quicker I did it, the more honest my answers would be.

The results are pretty cool so far. It's been cool watching so songs get over taken and some fall waaaaay behind. I won't ruin anything or bias it. But please let's share this with as many TGA fans as we can thanks to everyone so far. Well probably run it around a month.

By the way, I gave "Break Your Heart" 18 points and have no shame in it.

This is so difficult! I got a top 30 fairly easily but trying to figure out which 5 wouldn't make the cut was tough. The ranking though is the hardest part! Gotta say though, it was interesting to see how while my favorite albums are Get Hurt & American Slang, 4 of my top 5 came from '59 and Handwritten.

I think I'm gonna sleep on this ranking before I submit it. This is important after all

Exact same thing happened to me on both accounts! 30 was easy--25 was impossible! And AS is my least favorite album yet it had some of the most songs I ended up selecting.

Well that was pretty much impossible! Did my best in about 2 minutes! Didn't want to overthink it. Don't really know why covers were included in the survey though as they are not 'Gaslight' songs. Hopefully top 25 will all be original songs.

They were included in the last time we did this. So it made sense to do it again. Though I understand what you mean.
