Decided I'm not going to check this out....already heard R&T and Get Hurt. I reckon 3 could be too much before the official release, especially with Stay Viscous being the first song on the record.

From what I heard of the 30 second preview...it's incredible.

I second that. Not sure how they just flip a switch from Pearl Jam to The National when the chorus hits and make it work, but it sounds so awesome.

It's certainly allowed as it's a purchasable item. Just no links/requests for copies/rips.

Available to buy on the UK amazon site. Great song, the teaser didn't reveal much as one half of the song is very The National influenced.

Just bought it, really liking it, will be interesting to hear it in context with the full album

Think it's one of the most different/strange songs of TGA. But i liked!

Song is fucking awesome

Badass song. Lyrics in the second verse are tough to make out but I caught more drug references with the "pills for this, tabs for that" line. Dark stuff.


Chorus is so amazing.

The clip sounds awesome. Do you guys think it's worth purchasing now? If it's going to pop up on youtube soon or something I'd rather wait for my album to arrive when it's released and hold myself over listening to the full song on youtube.

Pretty sure it's "pills for this, tabs for that" and at the end it's "Lean on the end of the knife"

And it doesn't sound like "still love rock and roll"...pretty sure the "still love" part is right but no idea what he says after that

Decent enough song. It'll be interesting to see if they can pull of the change to the chorus live.

Also, it made me laugh that no one mentioned the typo in the title of this thread. Now I want to hear Stay Viscous too.

My bad, I typed too fast out of excitement when naming it.
As for thoughts, all I can really say at this point is wow. Incredible. The change, the lyrics, the solo. Just so great all the way around.

Absolutely awesome song. Melt-your-face rock with some absolutely beautiful sections thrown in between. And somehow it all manages to flow.

It's now on itunes. I had to cancel my preorder and re purchase it to get it to download. Before you worry youre not charged for your preorders till you actually download the song. So canceling and repurchasing won't double charge you. You still own R&T and get hurt and won't get charged for those again. You'll only get charge for vicious upon reordering. This was the only way I could get it to download. Maybe someone has another way?

I got mine from a site called DJTunes, but it cost $2.00, and I had to register an account, so your method is probably the better option now that it's available.
