Stay Lucky or Diamond next single?

The German TGA fansite reports that 'Stay Lucky' will be the next single ((it promises further news). If that is so, I wonder whether we will finally get a proper CD and vinyl single release off American Slang, preferably with a previosuly unreleased B-Side.

EDIT: However, I have now obtained a copy of the 'Diamond' promo CD (UK), which has a sticker on it calling it the "1st single proper from" with a release date of 9 August. I didn't notice anything.

Good clip. What was the vocal improv there? Sounded a lot to me like "when everybody used to call you Jeter" but I"m not sure that makes sense other than Brian being a Yankees fun.

I was hoping/expecting that it'd be Spirit of Jazz, but Stay Lucky could work too. Pretty catchy, fun, and upbeat. I could see it.

Yea actually. I'm a big Met's fan, and out of all the players the Yankees he is actually the only one I liked. Solid guy, no roids, not a dick, like most baseball players should be.

I would agree that there are better tracks but singles are more about the mainstream more than anything now even if singles are even relevant. Stay Lucky fits.

The only potential issue I see with Stay Lucky as a single is that it's got "when you were young" as a repeated part in it and that was the name of The Killers' hit single when they decided they really liked Bruce all of a sudden. And we all know how people like to compare Gaslight to the Killers... for some reason.

Stay Lucky is in my top 3 of songs off of AS, however thinking about it they could go with something else. Do I really care though? Not really to be honest. I'm still gonna listen to Gaslight. Plus, it might just be a European single. Which will make the radio promo, that much harder to find haha.

it's a problem if they release a song with that line in it because it is the name of another song by another band who liked Bruce Springsteen when they wrote it?

Yeah I mean the song is already on the album...

Well, I don't know, I guess it's not that big of a deal, but if, in a crazy hypothetical situation it propels them to the top of the charts and they become smash-hit megastars then there would be all these people that are like "it's like the Killers!" I don't know, I guess it's a stupid thought, haha.

I think they should release Orphans as a single, like it just has a really catchy sound with amazing lyrics, it could work.
