A forum dedicated to The Gaslight Anthem - Brian Fallon says: ''For consistent and up to the minute stuff, Dimestore Saints is a great place to check out and hang with some really nice people.''
Great song. Lotsa octaver for Alex R. once again. Seems like Brian has wrote a lot of songs with a fuzz pedal for this. It does sound more Soundgarden than Black Sabbath to me.
I hear elements of Blue Dahlia's change of sound during song, He Comes My Man's "Sha la la la" and t Too Much Blood's riff gunge element. Add a little Stone Temple Pilots vibe to it.

I like it, but it's probably my least favorite of the three we've heard. That said, I was expecting to hate it based off the preview. So it will probably continue to grow on me.

I was really excited for this song from the teaser. This was very very disappointing. I guess I had super high expectations for it. I mean it's good don't get me wrong. But I almost wish the music of the verses and choruses were flipped. I hate how it just drops off for the chorus. Nice guitar work in there though. I'm sure it'll grow on me. Just absolutely love the verse instrumentals.

Not really a fan of this song at all. The teaser did nothing for me when I first heard it. I did like the first two songs so I am interested to see how I will feel about this album as a whole.
I really really like this song; the teaser didn't excite me at all, but whith the progression in the chorus the verse grew on me.For me so far we have a masterpiece (Get hurt), an awesome one (This) and a really good song (Rollin').Couldn't be happier about this record.

I'm excited. I feel like Alex R is getting more influence and more freedom to create. The guy is a genius in my opinion. I can't wait to get vinyl spinning.

I've been feeling that way too, and when I saw them live last month it just blew my mind so bad I had to tell him (I did)
I like the verse and I LOVE the chorus, but that transition is weird. I know they were going for weird, but I'm not sure it's a positive thing here. Pretty jarring and doesn't really seem to fit. It works better as it goes from chorus to verse, but I'm talking specifically about verse to chorus. I dunno, I've only heard it twice, but my first time I listened to it, I had to rewind. I was like, "what, wait did I miss something," and then went back: "Nope, the song just does that."

The only thing I liked about the song was the grunginess I thought the whole song was going to be like that and be close to Mullholand Drive, or Keepsake. Then the chorus comes in and it just sounded misplaced in the song plus I think its one of the worst choruses in a Gaslight Anthem song for me its just weak it doesn't have the element to make me go wow. I like Get Hurt the song better than this. I know Gaslight is trying to go for a different sound and change things up but I feel like their getting away from what they did so well on previous albums. They are a rock band and I get bands change but I don't know what to think of their new album even though its only 3 songs out of 16. I hope their are some more rocking songs on the album. I just don't feel like these 3 songs are up to par with what they have done before, Get Hurt and Rollin Tumblin sound like songs already done by The Gaslight Anthem on previous records and not nearly as strong. Hopefully the rest of the record changes my mind, I Guess in way I don't want the band to lose their signature sound farther on down the road with future releases.
