Yup.
Girl I'm dating has been reading it (although she keeps contending how bad the writing is) and I only got through like a page and a half before I put it down. What a marvelously shitty piece of shit book. Were you reading it in English or Swedish? The English version is terrible enough; I can only imagine the translations are even worse.

My band released our EP today and I'd really appreciate a listen, DSSers
https://roseboulevard.bandcamp.com/ Absolutely loving the chorus of Hold me close. Awesome! That one's always fun to play live. I've never read it but fun fact: 50 Shades Of Grey started out as Twilight fan fiction. So...not surprised it isn't a stellar piece of literature.

Confession: I read all 3 That being said, they were absolute garbage and I would never recommend anyone to do the same as their brain might explode from trying to understand why this is so popular, and if there is actually meant to be a plot line.

Agreed. Here's a wonderful passage just so y'all can sample the writing style: (don't worry; it's SFW) "It's very quiet. The light is muted. I am comfortable and warm, in this bed. Hmm... I open my eyes, and for a moment, I'm tranquil and serene, enjoying the strange unfamiliar surroundings. I have no idea where I am. The headboard behind me is in the shape of a massive sun. It's oddly familiar. The room is large and airy and plushly furnished in browns and golds and beige. I have seen it before. Where? My befuddled brain struggles through its recent visual memories. Holy crap. I'm in the Heathman hotel... in a suite. I have stood in a room similar to this with Kate. This looks bigger. Oh shit. I'm in Christian Grey's suite. How did I get here? Fractured memories of the previous night come slowly back to haunt me. The drinking, oh no the drinking, the phone call, oh no the phone call, the vomiting, oh no the vomiting. Jose and then Christian. Oh no. I cringe inwardly. I don't remember coming here. I'm wearing my t-shirt, bra, and panties. No socks. No jeans. Holy shit."

| I suddenly decided I want to make a denim patch jacket (starting with a hand-me-down jacket and a patch of the local Thrash band I went to see yesterday, who're pretty awesome) so I was wondering, do any of you know if TGA has large patches?
If they do, I might go with that for the central back patch. If not, I'll have to start considering what other bands I like enough to put as central patch that actually have patches that size xD

First time I read something that was actually published (not to mention successful) and go 'Hmm, maybe my writing isn't all that horrible just yet.' And temperatures here are mild. It's been hovering around freezing point for a week or two I think but it's been going up a bit again. Probably another winter without any proper snow this year.

| I heard Mulholland Drive at Hot Topic tonight!! I was looking at this cheap little skeleton cameo necklace and thinking, "Oh this is sort of Gaslight Anthem-y" and then Mulholland Drive kicked on and I took it as a sign that I should buy it, so I did. | |

| Oh man, I fucking LOVE Minneapolis.
I recognize so many of those places in the pictures too. Minnehaha falls, Mall of America, First Avenue, random street pics. Such a nice place, I haven't been there in four years and I really miss it.

| That's awesome. I love it so much. It's hard to say what my favorite part of town is, but I really like Lyndale/Uptown. Everything in Minneapolis is just beautiful and the people are so great. I love it more and more every time I go and when I'm there it just feels like home. | |
