Just tonnes of speed, chef's weapon of choice...
Midnight Oil are kind of an "elder statesman" band, they're not anyone under 40's favorite, but everyone kinda respects them. I love some of their tracks. And Peter Garrett was our Environment Minister for a few years too.
My all-time favorite Aussie band is Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. Pretty much anything Nick Cave has been involved in, The Boys Next Door, The Birthday Party, Grinderman, it's all fantastic

Well, I am trying to drop my weight down to 150ish, and lose a lot of extra fat.

Hey guys, it's been a while. Any good summer records so far?
I mean Handwritten was a really good summer record two years ago - even if it's not Gaslight's very best album

The Orwells, the Menzingers, Mongol Horde, Antarctico Vespucci, Lana Del Rey...I've been into Fidlar and Wavves a lot too. Afraid of Heights and King of the Beach are great

Wheelhouse from Brad Paisley was a great Summer CD last year. Nothing really this year has grabbed my attention out this summer, although I did hear something I DO NOT like. It was either Urban, or Kenny Chesney has a new song "American Kids" out, and I do not like it.

Y'all know that feeling when you come home from a festival where you sort of fell in love with this girl who lives 5 hours away and then you gotta go to work for a 13 hour shift?
God damn it.

Not even gonna weigh in on the work question...
In other news - new Social Distortion tattoo is getting done on Saturday. Big crown with "King of Fools" for the text, right on my sternum, which should be... interesting...

I knew as I posted that, you were gonna weigh in on it.
Sounds good man, be sure to post the result when you're done.

Fuck yeah!
Just ordered me a USB keyboard and a mic stand, so very soon I'll be able to record some music again. There'll be a lot of originals but a bunch of covers as well, been meaning to cover some Gaslight for a long time. If y'all got a request for a cover I'd be happy to look into it.

I had a funny dream about TGA last night. I was on the backseat of a car, with people that I don't know. I was talking a lot about the band, the album release and everything that goes with it, and they all looked really bored because they didn't care. They even threatened to leave me on the side of the road if I didn't stop talking about it.

I can tell that one was a dream because in real life you can successfully convert everyone you meet into a gaslight fan just by playing a few of their songs. they're a bit undeniable
