| Don't think it is worth a separate thread until we know more, but according to Rolling Stone, Yahoo! Live will be doing a free webcast of one of the concerts on this tour.
"Yahoo! Live also intends to feature concerts by Linkin Park, Usher, Common, the Gaslight Anthem, Panic! at the Disco and many more in the coming months. The first 30 days of scheduled concerts are listed on the channel's website, and the channel will offer alerts as to when it will broadcast concerts by specific artists."

| Yo! I'll be studying in upstate NY as from next month, a Brit aboard! I'm going to the show in Boston on the 16th of September, tickets are a gift for my 21st birthday and it'd be cool to hear if any of you guys are hitting that one too. | |

Went for lawn on NJ, 9:30 will be my intimate show, NJ can just be relaxing, hanging with cool people, and drinking
NJ is a good sign of what shows will look like if TGA actually reach the BIG level. Enjoy the venues like 9:30!
Also kinda surprised no album release show ....... think ones going to pop up in the coming days/weeks/months? I wouldn't be surprised if they announce an album release show much later on. Right now, they might figure the only chance they have at selling a bunch of tickets for this NJ show is to not announce any other shows in the area. Think about it. If they'd announced a NY/NJ album release at 5000 (or smaller) person venues and 2-3 more dates in those areas, wouldn't you hesitate to buy a $90 ticket to sit in a seat? Of course, I could be wrong and this could be all we're getting before they run away to Europe. I was wondering this as well...I was surprised to see no album release show this time around, but considering tickets sold out in like a minute last time around, I'm thinking they may wait til close to the day to announce it. and like you said, with the other shows announced, especially the PNC show, it does make sense to wait. I dont think the PNC show is so ridiculous either. I don't think it will sell out, but for an NY/NJ area show, they definitely need to play a bigger venue so this works.

The 16th is the one that's still mysteriously missing since the fan club presale, right? I have tickets to both so I'll be there! Where in upstate NY are you studying? - prettyontheinsidex wrote:

I dont think the PNC show is so ridiculous either. I don't think it will sell out, but for an NY/NJ area show, they definitely need to play a bigger venue so this works. I thought the PNC show was ridiculous until I realized there's only like 7000 seats, the rest is lawn. They definitely won't sell it out, but the place probably won't look as barren as I originally expected. I'm still surprised PNC isn't the album release though. That would've made the most sense. Must've been a booking issue. For most shows in the NYC/NJ area a 2-5K venue would still do. When they played pier 26 last year (5K) they didn't sell those shows out right away, if at all (I'm not sure). And only 1 of the 2 stone pony summerstage shows that year sold out right away. But for an album release, it makes sense to go a bit bigger. If only they could do it without ending up with $90 seat tickets

| Regarding an album release show, it may be that they are doing tv, late night shows and other promotions instead, could be in the U.S. and Europe.
As for the Boston shows, if the 16th does not sell out, my guess at this point is that the 17th won't happen. It was probably put up prematurely. The House of Blues is still open on the 17th, maybe they are holding off to see where ticket sales for the 16th are after the release.

| I believe the House of Blues has a capacity of about 2,500. Most bands play for one night. The National have sold out two shows in the past. Sometimes it's also a question how many people would go for two nights. For example, when the Dropkick Murphys sold out five shows at House of Blues over St Patrick's Day weekend, I went to all five of them ... | |

They do it every year. That city is obsessed with itself, so anything from there is automatically the most popular thing ever.

I'll take that as confirmation that the second Boston show will definitely not be happening. The second show was only up for presale for a few minutes. I assume those who purchased tickets will get a refund. So they'll be doing a detour Boston - Buffalo - Montreal now.

I got an email a couple days ago informing me it was cancelled and you could either swap for tickets on the 16th in Boston or get a refund if you already had tickets. I'm so bummed. If It'd realized this would happen I probably would've gotten tickets to DC instead.

| not surprising.
so many factors working against them here.
Also have to wonder how many fans would have gone that are already away to college by September 13th. I know 2 myself that wanted to go but can't for that reason.

That's a fair point I also know two who would probably have gone. I know me and at least 15 friends all bought lawn because well it's only $27. But also, who wants to stand in front of a chair all night to gaslight anthem....especially for $90?? My friend said if they don't sell enough, PNC will allow upgrades for $10.

| I heard $30. $10 would be much better (I'm on the lawn right now for this one) I definitely think that doing such a big venue was a weird move. one of my friends who is familiar w the venue says that those seats are often not sold, even for artists that are usually big arena acts (he gave Keith Urban as an example) | |
