| Anyone have any guesses as to how long each act will play at PNC?
I'm thinking...
Against Me 30 mins Jimmy Eat World 1 hour Gaslight 1.5 to 2 hrs
Yes? No? Maybe? | |

| What a great weekend!!! On Saturday I went to City Hall Plaza for the Phantom Gourmet BBQ Music Festival. It was such a beautiful summer afternoon with people everywhere in Quincy Market and along the waterfront. It was fun to talk to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones fans. Not everyone likes the same bands and I love to hear how others are as passionate about their favorite bands as I am about mine. Barrence Whitfield was a great first opener. Gaslight had what I felt a great crowd considering they were not headlining, with the crowd singing to all the songs and some crowd surfing attempts, mostly not successful. Their set was from 7.40 to 8.30ish just when the evening sun reflected on the surrounding buildings, very pretty. Dicky Barrett came out to sing The Patient Ferris Wheel with them. The only small downer was that the sound wasn't as good as when they played Boston Calling last September, I could barely make out Brian's vocals. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are not necessarily a band I'd go to see on their own but it was such a fun atmosphere I ended up staying until the end. Before their set they had video birthday messages from people starting with kids from the elementary school that Dicky Barrett attended to Jon Stewart to his own daughter. Brian came out for one song. Jimmy Kimmel played on one song as well. Then on Sunday I headed up to Burlington, VT. It was absolutely perfect weather and I went to see Lake Champlain, the University of Vermont and Church Street Marketplace. Had to have Ben & Jerrys and the Super Pomegranate smoothie was amazing! Loved the Higher Ground venue, good size. Gaslight played from a little after 10 to almost midnight. It was an awesome show, definitely one of my favorites. Much better sound than Saturday and Brian's vocals were great. The setlist had a great flow to it and we had some fun in between ... there was a lot of talk about ice cream and Alex L almost took his shirt off Halloween sounded fantastic and State of Love and Trust blew me away as well. But really, everything was great! And being able to cross the street and get McDonald's after the show, I am coming back to this venue ! And then I came home tonight and the House of Blues show was up for the fan club presale - perfect!!! | |

is jimmy eat world playing boston too? I just got 2 GA tickets through fan club I don't think so. It's advertised as The Gaslight Anthem, Against Me. Now we have to make sure the 16th sells out and we may get a second show on the 17th!

If not, then ticketmaster sold me fake tickets It's just not up right now for whatever reason. Side Note for the NJ show: This is apparently a thing that is happening?...

| I was also at Dicky's Birthday Bash. Definitely a top three concert for me. I've probably seen the bosstones 8 times? I've got 20 years of concerts under my belt, marathon shows (pearl jam, springsteen), reunions i thought i'd never see (weston, murder city devils), hometown and album shows that blew me away (less than jake in gainsville, sunday services with the black crowes in atlanta), there were also some terrible moments (billy corgan, ryan adams). It was a great night with friends (kimmel, lenny lashley), family (ben's son, dicky's nephew), and the Bosstones! | |

| haven't checked in here on the forum for a long while...
but I am checking in to RSVP for the Nashville show! got tickets and a hotel for me and my BFF. gonna turn him into a Gaslight fan one day. should be a decent road trip, about 4 1/2 hour drive... not too shabby, really looking forward to it, and hopefully they announce a show in St. Louis that fits my work schedule.

| Got my Boston HOB tickets, can't wait.
Was also at the Bosstones bash, great show, other than a few neanderthals in the front. I also thought Brian's vocals were way too low, but I wasn't sure if that was just being in the very front, combined with everyone singing around me. Brian seemed to be in a good mood (the crowd chanting thing before Blue Jeans was funny.)

I loved when Brian changed the "house on Cookman" lyrics to "house in Boston" lyrics Brian, we'd be happy to show you our beaches around the city in September ! I think his mic was just too low in general. I was toward the front for Gaslight, then went to the back for the Bosstones set and when Brian came out to do a song with Dicky Barrett, I could hear Dicky Barrett perfectly well but Brian was still very low.

| Boston show was great. It's been too long since I've seen them. Especially since the last few times I've seen them the shows haven't been the best. But as the opener they stuck to their faster more crowd friendly songs, which was smart. Loved hearing Old Haunts for the first time live. Like you guys said the sound wasn't the best but you couldn't beat that outdoor setting. Really cool stuff. Perfect warmup gig for the shows in the fall. Bring on Philly and PNC | |

| So I have this photo from Higher Ground last week. Can anyone explain what was going on here? I know he had a tattoo that Brian had him tell the crowd about, but I don't know how this conversation got started or what the guy said about this tattoo (that had something to do with his thumb?). I think it ended with him requesting a song and Brian saying he had to go back to work now. | |

| It's been too long since I've seen the boys. Can't wait to see them in KC again in October. I already bought Pearl Jam tix to STL on Oct 3rd, otherwise would have seen them in Tulsa too. | |

| Talked to my friend over the weekend - I'm going to swing a trip to Nashville for the upcoming tour. That should bring the total number of times to 15 or 16. | |
