2014 new Gaslight Anthem album news (pre-details)

Almost over looked this one, but I guess this means they are back home?

Yeah they are back from Nashville. Benny posted a photo from NJ. So end of the daily updates. Once again if you find anything that should be added into the master list on page one please post. Thanks all.

I think now that they are using standard tuning, Brian's voice is going to come across differently

How so?

well, at least in live shows, brian has been forced to use a higher register since all the songs are played in standard tuning now. i think it'll be a good thing

I like the way he's been sounding lately.

I hope that's true! Although I seem to remember them saying Handwritten would be out in June and then it was nearly August before it came out, so I'm taking this with a grain of salt.

I am pretty sure that last night Brian said September. hmmm

Last night he said they might be coming around again in September or October. Of course, the last time they were in Atlanta they said they would be back soon, and its been over a year. He also said we should be receiving some album news "soon". It still sounds like the album is slated for September.

If I remember that right there was some club in Vienna, who (accidentially?) published some Gaslight show on 8th November, so the tourdates will possibly take place end of October or early November

I have a sort of """"news""""" about the record.It's just a rumor, I'm the first to not take it too seriously but I think it was nice to let you know.As we know Brian was in the pit in Nashville.A friend of a member of the Italian Gaslight fan club asked him about the new record and apparently he said "we've been recording with Bruce".We'll see..it would be a nice sign that the guys don't care anymore about the comparison thing, and if it's true I can't wait anymore for the record.

I bet it was more of a joke. Maybe Bruce did some vocals but it really seems unlikely with Bruce's tour schedule that he made time while they were in Nashville. Although I guess parts of High Hopes were recorded on the road while they were in Australia last year or whatever when Tom was filling in for Stevie so it's possible I supposed to record on the road and send it to him.

I'm going with the joke theory too. I mean it's one thing to be "over" the comparison issue, but it's a little extreme to then be like "Bruce, will you be on our record?".

I can't imagine he was any more involved than just talking to them about it or giving 5 minutes worth of suggestions while saying hi in Nashville. But hey, who knows.
