| I love the romanticism of Richard Thompsons Vincent Black Lightning 1952. Its kind of sad but also a lovely romantic story. Its quite easily a story that Gaslight could have written into one of their own songs. Heres a link anywway.

Honestly there are so many songs I love the lyrics to. I enjoy the romantic storytelling songs.
Springsteens Jungleland has to be one of my best, especially that first verse | |

| "Es Ist Still Auf Dem Rastplatz Krachgarten" by Gisbert zu Knyphausen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZGLxHt-2Eg it's a german song, but it's up close to be my favorite song of all time. it's about driving and forgetting your problems - also reminds me of the gaslight-vibe the german lyrics are below the youtube video. here's a quick translation for you english speaking guys : - Spoiler:
All are silent except for the radio and on the opposite carriageway: Lights that go astray from the darkness itself. "I'm fine, I'm feeling very, very good," wherever we go.
Each meter takes us further away and leads us to get closer, of all the things we will never understand. As long as the wheels are rolling, my little devil stands still. Please do not think of stopping, Please not yet.
From our shabby old boxes, the songs from many, many, many years flow straight into our hearts. Their singer always have the same slogan on their lips: The world is horrible and beautiful.
against wanderlust only helps the homesickness. I'll call and start running. Whenever the rain beats against my window and yet it is the homesickness that makes me look in places far from here, in life that are far away from mine. This old fallacy is what drives me is what startles me in the night, what I can not let go, so let me go. Let go of me.
From our shabby old boxes, the songs from many, many, many years flow straight into our hearts. Their singer always have the same slogan on their lips: The world is horrible and beautiful.

| Continuing with the Springsteen love, but The Promise and Racing in the Streets are two favorites.

| And it’s all a lie, what they say about stability It scares me sometimes, the emptiness I see in my eyes All the kid’s names I’ve ever liked are tied to tragedy And I don’t want my children growing up to be Anything like me
