ya know what jimmy, people may hate on mumford and sons, but they ain't bad i'll give you that Mumford is actually the only Modern band that is a Top 40 group I like. I mostly like the underground artists, the ones who are not world famous...minus country, I like a lot of modern famous country singers. Like Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood etc.

| My opinion of Mumford and Sons was great until I thought "If you've heard one Mumford & Sons song, you've heard them all." Unless you can point me in the direction of a song that sounds nothing like their singles?
OK I gave the Ska song a few seconds but it's already not for me right off the bat. It's like a peppy frenzy assaulting my ears and though I wish I didn't hate it, I do.
Country! That's another thing I never saw myself liking. I listen to Outlaw Country on Sirius here and there. Nothing that stands out that I can name offhand, but I can get into it if I'm in the right mood. I think it stems from liking Chuck Ragan/Revival Tour-type stuff.

| LOL well I'm not trying to insult you for liking them or anything. I just hear those kind of horns and want to flee. I like "Time Bomb" by Rancid if that remotely helps you feel better. I suppose that's in the realm? But I'm pretty sure the reason I like any Rancid song at all is cus of my crush on Tim Armstrong. | |

| I saw Revival twice the other week and did like his set. But probably because it was all acoustic and didn't have the horns that turn me off. I was really impressed with his guitar-playing! | |

yeah, i saw him on the lineup and remembered his band, than listened a lot to streetlight manifesto stuff than saw some acoustic videos with him than got his album now i gotta say those songs really sound better without horns and stuff haha BUT the horns give the ska and especially ska-punk songs so much power - no other instrument could do this feeling for me

| I'm not even anti-horn. Lucero sounds great with Scott & Jim adding to the songs. But ska horns sound like an assault on my ears. They're just too...obnoxiously perky. For me I mean. Obviously not a lot of other people. | |

What? OK to clarify- ska horns are basically the only horns I don't like. And yes "so, let's agree on: Lucero + Horns are great"! Although it's my understanding some fans weren't pleased with the addition. Again, to each his own.
