| It is all good Lorraine. You don't have to waste anymore tears on me.
What is this Catfish you speak of? Not a fan of sea food.

http://www.mtv.com/shows/catfish/episodes.jhtml A girl I met online and I were selected to be on this show, we chose not to do it because we didn't want everything to be public.... Anyways, kinda cool to see it come to fruition, but I still haven't watched an episode yet

| It's kind of sad, we were REALLY close and then we kind of fell out of touch....
Another part of why we didn't do the show was that they wanted it to be romantic and we weren't romantically interested at that point (we had been romantically interested maybe a year or two before the casting stuff started) so it would have felt kind of forced...
Maybe one day I'll meet her in real life, but we haven't talked in some time now....

| We met on a music messageboard (not DSS) and she was going through some tough times. I had been in a similar position as she was and just offered support with her troubles.
We talked a little through PMs, then eventually facebook, then we started talking on the phone. We skyped a few times and texted all the time.
We were just always really supportive of each other throughout the ups and downs of life. Sometimes it's really great to have someone from outside your social sphere to talk to because you can be completely honest about what's happening in your local life and not worry about hurting anyone involved...
It was a really great relationship (never bf+gf, just really close friends) and I think we just kind of grew apart from each other as our lives changed.

i've only seen a couple episodes, but that one was so sweet! It was the only ep to that point where it seemed that the couple could actually work out. There was another ep with two guys that was good too. Can't remember their names.

| Yes. What did you think of that episode when the girl (Jasmine?) found out it was another girl she knew who was just being a bitch. I kinda found it hard to follow as to why the other girl hated her so much. | |

| I couldn't believe she kept it going for that long, wasn't it close to two years? The reasoning was a little vague but sounded like she slept with the mean girls boyfriend. Just seems crazy to keep a hoax going for that long. I can't imagine wasting that much time on a revenge joke. | |

| Yeh I couldn't figure out why they weren't annoyed with the guy who cheated!
That one where the girl was pretending to be Kari Ann Peniche- I was like... did you NOT see Celebrity Rehab? Who the hell would WANT to be involved with her? That guy I guess.
I kept thinking "Why didn't they just google the other person?" cus it seems pretty easy to find out stuff. But I guess they didn't want to know that maybe this person wasn't who they thought.
Apparently Nev got involved trying to help that football player (Manti), but then everything came out anyway.

| I love when some of the details about the person are so far out there that you can't believe anyone could fall for it. Like one saying they were studying to be an anesthesiologist at an online college. Or being a cue card holder on the Chelsea handler show. Huh? | |

| Yeh, as if you can't just go online or make some calls to find out if they're telling the truth. Nev to the rescue! I guess since Nev isn't emotionally involved, he had the nerve required to just call up these places and check up on the people. | |

| Just the fact the person stalls about meeting or Skyping is enough to break off the whole thing. | |
