totally forgot about the major general album, was it any good?

I like it. He also has a 10" out on Team Science records. (Don't quote me on that, I am just thinking off the top of my head)

I cant believe hes left , i will never forget his on stage wine drinking antics at Manchester academy, do you think they will replace him?

I never got to see them live before Franz left, mainly because I really got into them only two or so years ago. But Boys and Girls In America is one of my all time favorite albums

This upcoming tour they have should be interesting. We'll find out if they have a replacement lined up for Franz. That is they play ....Almost Killed Me straight through haha. Can't wait to head out to one of those shows.

Franz recorded tracks for the new album, but they re-recorded those tracks with a new keys player, so I assume the new keyboardist will also join them on tour. I'm seeing them in April on their small(as in capacity) club tour.

i dislike franz as a solo artist, musically he is great but i really don't like the solo stuff
THS though is incredible, if you can only buy one album get BAGIA then SP then SS then AKM

Hold steady are playing manchester academy 2 days after TGA , just bought tickets, what a friggin week thats going to be .

May 4th is the release date for the new record, just so you guys know. Heaven is Whenever is the title.

Has it leaked?

any minute it should leak. they release the album exclusive on vinyl for record store day. so any guy with a usb turntable should be getting bored sometime soon. i got the vinyl yesterday. its truly amazing. solid albums coming out the next few months. jesse malin and the saints mark social,the hold steady, and gaslight. that would be a hot ticket too.

it's already leaked, someone posted a vinyl rip of the album just yesterday

plus NPR is going to stream the album starting tomorrow

So what does everyone think of Heaven Is Whenever? I definitely like it a lot, but I have no clue as to where I'd rank it among their other albums.
