DId you guys see the covers on Jimmy Fallon this week? John Legend took Dancing in the Dark and made it a whole other song.

Not one of my favorite covers, but that basically boils down to the fact that I'm not a huge fan of the song, because as always you did a great job producing and singing.

What a voice that guy has, he could sing anything and it would be immense. Not exactly my favourite style of music though.

yeah i like jazz but that style is a bit smooth for me... however i thought he did a great job in bringing out the desperation in the lyrics, which is really what makes the song in my opinion.

I like your voice, maybe you could try climbing up and down the vocal scale a little bit and not just stay in the same range the entire time, but I liked it. Well done.

Anyway, here's my own cover of Bad Religion's Sorrow. It's one of my all time favorite songs and I've been meaning to make a folk cover of a BR song for years now, and I felt like I have the means to do it now, so here it is.

Haha nah it wasn't, but I did try to emulate it as closely as I could by fingerpicking a banjo pattern on the high register of my guitar.

so i'm doing this cool project for my grade 12 social studies class. we have to find a protest song from the 60's/70's/early 80's and design LP cover art for it. we have to use images from events that inspired the song and discuss them with the class. (btw any suggestions? i was thinking What's Going On or Who'll Stop the Rain)

so i got to listening to some CCR, which led to singing some CCR. this is my cover of Fortunate Son; i'm kinda trying a new singing voice with this one.

That's cool. Yeah, it was hard to pick out. But it did sound very "banjoey." Good work man!
