Camus is right, Jimmy. You are really young and have plenty of time for relationships. Just enjoy being 20 and unattached. Being single isn't really so bad.

Don't rush into anything just because you see friends getting married and having kids. I had several friends in high school who had children and/or got married way too young and their lives turned out pretty messed up, definitely not what they imagined when they were younger. Your time will come and it will be worth the wait. You'll see. Just be yourself, have fun, and don't worry so much (easier said than done, right?).

It'll happen when it happens, Jimmy! You worry far too much about being in a relationship. Just enjoy being young, even if you are alone. We can never get these years back, so there's no point in spending them complaining about the things we don't have.

who cares what other people are doing? it weirds me out that people i used to know are married and/or have kids...i'm 27 now and i still the same way i did when i was 16, 17...way too young to even think about it.

put the energy you expend venting on this board and testing everyone's patience into meeting people and just let it happen. sorry to be harsh but...no im not really. sometimes the truth hurts.

I used to bitch about love life stuff all the time and realized I was just stalling and didn't want to face the lack of effort I put into looking. And if I was bitching about a specific guy, it was stalling so I didn't have to face what a jerkface I was dealing with. Then I became a queen.

A guy I had a crush on two years ago added me on random social networking sites and now he's been in and out of my mind. Also doesn't help that he and gf just broke up. And I also know her. Oy.

Yeeeeeep. I've tried to work out a long distance thing before (not with this guy, though) and it wasn't really what I wanted, so I'm not even going to explore that option here.

I'm convinced my luck in the romance department has me going for guys that live too far from me.

Hah, understandable. I had this pseudo relationship-but-not-a-real-relationship thing that was a long distance mess about a year and a half ago and I was like, "No. Next time, you are not getting into another thing like that." Also doesn't help that he was a douche.

That's what I'm aiming for! The guy in Colorado is nice, but I don't know him as well as I used to.

As tough as it is, the wisest thing you can do right now, unless you're planning on moving to Colorado, is to just try to ignore your feelings and wait until you meet someone where you live.

My roommate is from Colorado. I miss him, can't wait go to back to Santa Barbara!
