I think that one line is

Amazing. It wouldn't surprise me the least if this turned out to be the lead single. It has "radio play and music video" written all over it.

I'm not sure that Levine does anything in this song

It's nice to see Brian playing a Telecaster again.

There's another video up on Youtube now from the Syndey Soundwave and the line that I had questions about seems to be, "When the band don't quiet down and it's just you and me in the dark". So I updated the lyrics back on page 3 with that. Other than a few swapped I/You between the two performances, the lyrics seem pretty accurate.

That was a Bill Nash Tele (the white one he played last year) ,not sure what this one is.

Yea, Nash guitars. They make vintage and reissue (fenders) mostly. They are awesome. check them out. Brian most likely is playing one from the E series or T series.

If Nash ever makes a vintage Fender Jaguar I WILL buy in a heart beat..

Agree with a few points already made- also don't get why it's a blues song...something about it grabbed me right away, before he even started singing...and I too was having a meh day til I saw they'd shared a new song way before I would expect them to. Definitely great, definitely gets me excited for new stuff

Interesting. I'm sure the song is a dedication to your junior prom night then. Or at least that's what I'd make myself think lol.

They have gone for that kind of Rolling Stones rhythm on this one, i don't know why it was called a blues song because it isn't really. It has the vibe of a blues song with the guitar licks etc but other than that its pure normal Gaslight , not a bad thing in my book.
