Can't hear much, but it sounds like it might be one of the first Gaslight songs with a real "riff" to it.

It sounds like a soul/funk inspired rock song with a nice groove like Holland pointed out.

Nice song! Here's what I've made up out of the lyrics. But as English isn't my native language, there are definitely some mistakes in it. I just wrote down what I heard. The underlined parts are my biggest doubts:

Guess it's a song about missing his home (a girl) as he's on tour, but when the touring is over, they could finally be together and be in love again.

Well, certainly it's no 12-bar blues (thankfully) but it has a bluesy stomp to it. "Blues rock" is a better description, and really only for the verses.
