So I'm actually considering flying to London for the HWM show but i might need a place to crash, anyone want to help me out?

Yup finally got tickets for London and Portsmouth im gonna be singing my lungs out when they hit the stage im already excited. Then a two days latter its time to see Gaslight again. Gonna be a good week.

So I've heard that George won't be playing the UK tour. Has anybody else hard this? Little disappointing if it turns out to be true.

Where has this come from? Is there a reason why and is he still playing the euro shows seems odd unless its because he already has commitments with Against Me. Shame though as he is an incredible drummer.

I just read it on the forums at punktastic so maybe it's not so reliable? I was just trying to check its veracity really.

He is still in HWM but he has just recorded with Against me so may have commitments with them.

What's the best Chuck Ragan record? I have an iTunes gift card and I've really liked the few songs I heard from him on Daytrotter.

I'd go for either Feast Or Famine or Gold Country. You can't go far wrong with either.

I listened to a few songs from each and picked Feast or Famine, but if I like it I'm sure I'll end up with the others anyways.

Yeah me too, but luckily I get to see Gaslight in london, and possibly hwm in paris! It's going to be a good couple months for shows.

London and Portsmouth for me! Though I may well sell my London ticket.

I was in London to and heard the announcement first hand for a second time tonight in Portsmouth get fucking stoked!

Guys I've never actually listened to HWM outside of "Trusty Chords." I mean I love Chuck's solo stuff but I always had the impression that HWM might be too hardcore for me. Like I don't get into screaming and stuff. Is it like that? Everybody seems to love this band and I don't want to miss out.

I wouldn't really call it "screaming". Its a very deep, hard sound that I can't listen to for long periods of time, but there is a distinct difference between what bands like HWM, Polar Bear Club and Rise Against and screaming. I'm not sure the best word for it -- but as someone who also dislikes screaming I enjoy HWM in small douses.

I wouldnt call it hardcore but its very raw and rough one might say gruff

Check out Caution and No Division then work your way through the others after that.
