| USA and Slovenia to go through please. England are so so so poor, just nothing about them.
Rooney, wow, he looked like he had wandered onto the pitch from the local mental assylum. Horrible performance.
Would be amazing if Algeria and Slovenia went through haha.

| I doubt Algeria can get a win against the USA, but I never thought Spain would get beaten by Switzerland, so what do I know? | |

| If the US has a strong first half against Algeria, they'll be okay. If they don't come out strong, I fear England will seize the moment, beat Slovenia, and all the build-up was for nothing.
Kind of off-topic, but does anyone know where I can find the 08/09 US white jersey? I'm not a fan of this year's kit at all (the US team looks like they're competing in a beauty pageant). I found the long sleeve on the US Soccer website, but it's well over $100 and I'm really looking for a short sleeve.

| Holding my head in my hands after that piss poor performance from England. Every other team seems to have stepped up and shown some passion and performance. It was worse than watching League 1 football tonight, and as a Leeds fan I should know! I was impressed by the USA v Slovenia game, both sides deserve to go up. I can see us being destroyed by Serbia on wed and coming home early. Useless bunch of overpaid sods. Played nowhere near as good as they do for their clubs | |

| USA should have won it ages ago, been the best in the group by far.
Should have beaten Slovenia and easily Algeria, both goals offside were onside.

I decided to just watch the Tennis, was incredible, watched it for about 5 hours yesterday. Although felt very sorry for Mahut with all the photo and interview stuff at the end, last thing he wanted.

| USA v. Ghana today. stoked to be able to watch it. watched Spain v. Chile yesterday. was kinda rooting for Chile just because they were the underdog, but Spain was pretty fun to watch. i think Paraguay is prolly one of my other favorite teams to watch, hopefully they can go pretty far. USA! | |

that was a funny match to watch for me, cause half my family is from Chile and half from Spain. but my heart belongs to Spain, no doubt about it!! you can't not want them to win when you see what Villa is able to do on the field

| I realize soccer players embellish a bit, but watching Ghana in the additional time was flat-out disgusting. There were players dropping like flies when absolutely no contact was made. One guy fell down and waited for the stretcher, then sat up on the stretcher, got off of it on his own accord, and looked perfectly fine.
I've seen some really drawn out games in my life (like the neutral-zone trap of the New Jersey Devils or Ohio State in American Football), but that was just ridiculous.

| Exactly...that was pathetic. I love soccer but at least in other sports they stop the clock when a player is hurt. Stoppage time always seems much less than floppage time. | |
