He said that Here Comes My Man was about his Mom. And that his Dad was a bum but she found someone better and now she's been married to that guy for a long time. He kind of said something similar to what he said about Ryan on Instagram. Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what he said.

1) They played Natonal Anthem! 2) They apparently played a slowed down version of Boxer 3) No Great Expectations for like the first time ever

That setlist is a really great mix of everything. My biggest complaint lately is that the setlists are a lot of the same...this is a nice change. Favors sink or swim for once. I've still never heard a lot of American slang live ...would have loved to hear old haunts and boxer!

Nice setlist!!! Boxer, Old Haunts AND I Coul'da Been a Contender!!! Would love to hear the last one in Würzburg or Bochum. ;-) I'm not even sure I have heard that one live yet...

That would be nice indeed! Where's the petition?! I heard Contender in 2009 but since then never again... Maybe it's the same like with Elvis and somebody doesn't like playing it

Contender is one of the few songs I have never heard live. I'm glad they are playing it again and very happy for everyone who got it and maybe will still hear it this year.
I will have to be patient I suppose ... (which is obviously not my biggest strength lol)

Haha no, remember when we asked Brian in Kopenhagen to play it? He said they had troubles to get it right in rehersals but that they actually would like to play it again.
Glad they figured it out and now my hope is Contender will not be dropped again soon

Ah the set lists are getting better and better lately! So nice to see songs from American Slang that aren't just Queen of Lower Chelsea, Diamond Church Street Choir, and the title track (not that I dislike those songs).
