On a cooking program.

The Yankees in particular seem to really like American Slang, I've heard it played over a lot of Yankees promotional commercials.

Just heard the intro of 45 in the background of a segment in some German lifestyle program!! Cool!

I heard 45 coming from my friends bathroom. Her boyfriend kept asking me "who or what is the gaslight anthem", I told him to educate himself and he decided to do just that.. in the bathroom.

Was just watching the Orioles-Twins game on TV (at Target Field) and they came back from commercial, and faintly, under the dulcet tones of Mr. Gary Thorne, I heard, "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey, turn the record over!"

It's not inherently weird to play it in a stadium - although Minnesota is a good deal more random than somewhere in the Tri-State area like Yankee Stadium - but it's weird how attuned I was that underneath the broadcast, while talking to my girlfriend, I picked it up.

I was watching that! I was so shocked!

I heard 45 today in a petrol station today. Not that weird I guess but the petrol station was in Sandnessjoen, just north of the arctic circle in Norway.

I wanted to buy something from the hot girl behind the counter but couldn't bring myself to pay £4 for a bottle of Pepsi so instead just used the bathroom and stuck around to listen to 45 (which followed Pour Some Sugar on Me - awesome 1-2 punch there).

Just heard Desire, without lyrics, played at a commercial break on ESPN Monday Night Football!!

Already posted it awhile back somewhere, but I was going to hear Gaslight play at the Marquee in Arizona. Went to the Hard Rock Cafe before the concert and Great Expectations came on the tv screen/Hard Rock music station thing. Was surprised because of the coincidence of it, and because I totally did not expect them to play Gaslight.



Edit: Okay, maybe not weird, but surprising nonetheless.

I was at the City vs Southampton game on Sunday and 45' was played at half-time, I was well surprised !

A couple of weeks ago, ESPN used Desire on the Ultimate Highlight on SportsCenter. It had the song info in the corner too. Good exposure.

I was at a sleepover for a friend's birthday which basically involved a group of six 16 year old girls were comparing music using Youtube. It was all Justin Bieber, One Direction and the Wanted. (They didn't like the Clash ) They put on some by JLS that they all liked and an advert for Handwritten came on blaring 45 really loudly. I could've cried...

Last night the fair was in town and decided to see a band, well it got late, the band stopped playing and I kept staying... That story... And so I ended in the nearest bar and I was there with the guitar-player from my band. We just sat and there was "Summer of '69''-stuff and so on... I went for a pee and when I returned they put 45 on... I was so amazed, just an ordinary bar where the most rock 'n roll stuff ever played is from Dire Straits (no offence)... Well I danced on my own, got another beer and left the bar satisfied and with a big smile on my face! A lovely experience.

I was watching the Manchester City Vs Southampton game in the English Premier League on Tv Sunday , and as the ref blew for half-time, "45" started playing over the stadium's PA system. I was amazed to be honest, but very very happy!!

So I found out last week, and confirmed and recorded it this week, that '45' has become the background track for the official intro every week to Patriots radio broadcasts, it's mostly covered over by ads and audio highlight clips, but still cool.

Not sure if this counts, but a girl I know (not that well, keep in mind) just posted "Turn the record over and I'll see you on the flip side" on Facebook and the coolest part was 7 people had already liked it. I know I live in New Jersey, but still...it was cool.

i heard backseats play in Westfields shopping centre. that was pretty awesome. For everyone that is not English Westfields is like the largest most commercialised shopping centre in the country

I've just heard 'Handwritten' played in my mocal Oxfam shop! I live in a small town near Stansted airport and I don't know what station the radio was actually on - I had to stop myself singing along...
