| Incredible gig in Belfast! Brian asked for requests for the Irish shows the day before and they actually played (almost) all the requests plus a few more. In total they played for 2 hours and fit in 28 songs and even a bit of funny banter, including singing Happy Birthday for Chris, a fan who got to get up on stage because it was (yeah obviously) his birthday. The set was a bit weird because of all the requests but in a very good, cool way - if you know what I mean. It can't get much better than starting with Contender which (if I am not mistaken) they played the last time in Europe in Bochum 2013. And the setlist speaks for itself I think. We had a lot of fun at the gig and loved every minute of it! Audience was partly weird as well but in general the atmosphere was great. Setlist: last song was Divorce with Jared from the Scandals (not on the setlist) | |

| Sadly I haven't seen anybody from here, but the gig in Luxembourg was really sick. More than 2 hourslong. My one and only regret is that there wasn't enough material from the last record which I really like. | |

| BTW if you wonder or not, they are back to the "whole step down" tuning on this tour, and for the record, Brian doesn't warm up is voice and he doesn't seem to have a vocal coach either, which is really really impressive. I'm not really sure people realize how hard it is to sing, especially in a live setting, while you're also playing guitar at the same time.
Also, Benny seems like a really nice humble and down to earth guy. Alex R. seems really cool and nice too. Perkins was around the merch table at the end of the gig, which I had more time to chat with him because he also seems like a really nice guy.

| Haha I'm not surprised to hear that he doesn't warm up. I've definitely been to a number of shows where you can tell the first few songs are his "warm up" lol. But honestly when you consider the evolution of his voice during the Gaslight years alone, it really is impressive that he's been able to sort of teach himself to be a better singer and sing in different ways. If he really hasn't had any (or even very little) coaching, that's really something. | |

| Someone should try to record the Hurricane festival livestream! Looks like it's about in the middle of the day for US timezones and I'm sure a lot of us will be working | |

Going to Berlin too and also on my own. Then Hurricane and then Rostock. That's going to be five crazy days. Hope the Hurricane gig will end up online somewhere too. Always nice when you can watch it again after. And really nice for all of us to have another show recorded to watch in good quality. Feel kinda bad for everyone who went to the Nova Rock and only got to see a few songs. Well, the weather is still one of the few things we don't have an influence on.

He has been doing this for 10 years now, or even more, singing on a daily basis. I guess that helps. If you listen back to the early stuff like the No Release or This Charming Man material, you can hear he had a really hard time singing in the early days.

| If this Southside performance is any indication, the EU is getting them in fine form. Brian is looking and sounding so much better than the last time they did the festival circuit - he looked so worn down on that tour. | |

| The shows I done Irelandx2 and Brighton were really up there with the best ive seen them (54 now) Brian is in great mood, full of smiles , looking really healthy and happy . The rest of the band are in great form , really tight , the sound has greatly improved from some previous tours and playing a good solid 2 hour set , and mixing set lists up which is great as they have so many songs now they can dip into.......I really must do Reading now. | |

| Hope they'll play some more Get Hurt in the future. I'm probably on my own on this, but I was really bummed that they didn't play Rollin & Tumblin or Get Hurt. Rollin & Tumblin has such a sick riff, it's one of their angriest song ever. | |

| Setlists have looked incredible from the EU tour so far. Great album spread, and nice long shows, as it should be. Glad the tuning is back to the old standard, and it seems like they're very rejuvinated. Definitely felt that way when I saw them in Providence back in February as well.
Definitely baffled at the lack of Rollin' and Tumblin'. Great song that I assumed would've been a staple. Same with Get Hurt and Dark Places. Other than that though, very little in the way of gripes. Since the release of Get Hurt they have played every single album song in their catalog at least once with the exception of Bring It On, WDIWWWY, and Desire. That's pretty darn impressive

There's always something reassuring about your favorite bands showing each other live. Like some proof that your tastes make sense. (Admittedly irrational, I know.)
