Doesn't completely rule them out of Glastonbury. I remember last year when they did Hurricane Festival in Germany on the Friday, flew over to England to support the Killers at Wembley on the Saturday, then back to Germany for the Southside Festival on the Sunday.

Yeah, if anything it makes them more likely to do it. Plenty of bands play 3 nights on a bounce at various festivals. That's usually one of the easy ways of working out festival line-ups - looking where else they are playing at the same time!

Yeah, i've not given up hope completely. Just it rules one of the three days out.

And i like this "more likely" attitude!

Maybe not a full UK tour, but i'm expecting more dates, based on the same happening after Handwritten. They played a relatively small number (5-6, maybe) of UK dates in late 2012 before heading back to the US. Then they came back to the UK in March 2013 and played more dates and venues. They've repeated the smallish UK tour in late 2014, so hopefully the pattern holds and they're back over here in the spring.

Of course, just because they did it last time doesn't mean they'll do it this time, but that's my hope.

Oh, and have i mentioned that i would very much like them to play Glasto?

I'd be a little bit surprised if we see them before the summer.

With the US tour dates basically filling up March, that would mean touring either before that (which seems too close to the full tour they have done of the EU/UK this fall to do many dates) or after that (which starts getting towards the festival season, when we know they will be over).

Dublin on the 8th of June.
Presale doesn't seem to work - so the office ticket sale starts this Friday Dec. 19th at 10am local Irish time

I'd have said whatever UK shows they do will be later than that. Either late June/early July (around Glastonbury, Hard Rock Calling or T in the Park) or August (around Reading/Leeds). Aside from the festival shows, maybe a couple of "warm up" smaller shows but I still doubt we'll get a proper full tour.
