Doesn't seem to be that brand. I checked all the reviews and it looks to have a 90 percent. Most people say it is great and should be priced higher than it is. http://www.amazon.com/Technica-AT-PL60-Automatic-Driven-Turntable/dp/B002GYTPAE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342293094&sr=8-1&keywords=record+player Haha, and it is only marked down from 130 to 80 actually but still that is a pretty good price.

Nope, do you have any good cheap ones to recommend? I also thought a couple reviews said it had build in speakers that were mediocre?...or am I wrong?

| Nope that one has no built in speakers. It has a pre-amp though, which is nice. Some players need to be connected to a pre amp first THEN your speakers. If there was no preamp it would sound like they were whispering through your speakers. I just use computer speakers, I wouldn't know what to reccomend. | |

| Pretty much any speakers will work, it's all a matter of preference/budget. Some will obviously sound better than others, but unless you get just the worst, crappiest speakers in human existence or are a musical nut who can hear the actual changes in decibel, you're probably not going to notice too many differences. |

Woo, excited. I never have had a record player before. I have always just used audio cds. Everyone makes a big deal about the sound quality of vinyls so I gotta check it out. So what is the big difference between discs and vinyls?

So what is the big difference between discs and vinyls? I can't speak for the sound quality because I've never had a record player either... but there's something so much cooler about a big record player than a CD-player. |

| I am right here. The last two nights have been way too crazy and energy filled so I decided to take the night off. I am waiting for m ebay sale funds to go through tonight. As soon as that happens I am ordering a record player and speakers off amazon. I am also going to order all the Gaslight Anthem vinyls off Interpunk including Handwritten. I am going to have a 99 percent shot of getting Handwritten early then. It will be coming at me from all sides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

That is so AWESOME!!! How cool! There is nothing better than TGA on vinyl, and you HAVE to get Elsie on vinyl too. It's life changing. It's that good. I am dying to hear Handwritten tonight. Seriously, I need these songs so bad. I'm so tempted to listen to the previews, but I'm not. Sigh...

Edward Scissorhands is a great movie and I haven't seen it in so long! Very cool. I'm trying to decompress after an extremely stressful visit with my psycho cousin and her three little ones, so I'm letting myself wallow and listen to sad songs with a sleeping dog. I'm having a rough night, but it's nothing new for me. I'll live. Can I just say, Lucero has some really, really great songs to be sad to? They do. I love Ben Nichols for that.

Seriously, I need these songs so bad. I'm so tempted to listen to the previews, but I'm not. Sigh... I know!!! I am so excited. I showed bluuu one I found on amazon earlier and he said it was a real good vinyl player for the price. Thanks for reminding me about Elsie too! I completely forgot about that. What makes it so great on vinyl? haha, you make it seem like it is amazing. Is the quality a lot better than the cd? Yeah, surprises me you have held off that long to listen to the previews. I loved Biloxi Parish when i first heard it a year ago but I recently heard the samples of it and I love the studio version of what I heard. They do so much crazy good editing in that song, it blows me away. The samples sound like a new song compared to the live version we have been hearing. Ugh, I can't wait to hear the full version of it. The other previews are all the same level of awesome too.

Aw, cheery up Charlie reminds me of Willy Wonka. Really, I'll be okay. "I've spent my whole life a little less up than my downs." This is just typical for me. Some days are worse than others, but I always survive. I'm a tough girl. Now I want to watch Willy Wonka, but I'm afraid of what kind of dreams I'll have if I do watch it. Did you read the TGA dream thread? Oh my gosh, I've lost my mind!
