A forum dedicated to The Gaslight Anthem - Brian Fallon says: ''For consistent and up to the minute stuff, Dimestore Saints is a great place to check out and hang with some really nice people.''
It's possibly the most brilliant piece of fiction ever conceived.

Thanks for posting that video, Chris! It's been a long time since I've seen that one. Wow, they have come a long way, haven't they? It'll be interesting to see what the Handwritten video will look like.

Hey, the driveway video! I haven't seen that one in a long time either! I have to go look up more of these old music videos now. Wow, that was five years ago! They look so young! Gotta love Alex L.'s mohawk!

No problemo! You can see Brian Fallon's roofing roots in that video. The dude is in some good shape. Cut off sleeves for the win!

It's definitely a look he can pull off! It's so crazy that in such a short time he has gone from being a roofer (one of the hardest jobs ever) to trying to make ends meet as a musician, to being on a major label and hopefully getting all the success he deserves. It's really inspiring.

I wonder if he ever thinks back to those days and it like blows his mind.

I bet he does. I was listening to The Blues, Mary earlier and the first lines "I learned how to hammer, in the burning August sun" really made me realize how much his life must have changed in the last five years, and then seeing those videos, it's inspiring for a writer like me to think that maybe success really is possible. Maybe the dream can be attained and there's something better waiting in the future. Pretty awesome stuff, really.

That's wonderful that he inspires you! The Blues, Mary is so fantastic. I was listening to it earlier too. It really is crazy how much a persons life can change in 5 years. Also even though he's still very much the same person, you can definitely see how he's matured and really just grown up in the last 5 years. All of them have. Also Alex's mohawk is hilarious.

Yep, Brian is one of my greatest inspirations actually. He's kind of my hero in a way. A big part of that is how even though he (and all the guys) has grown up over the last few years, Brian is still the same dude, still humble, still honest, still sensitive enough to be able to write songs that so many people identify with and claim as their own personal anthems. It just doesn't get better than that.
It would be hilarious if Alex went back to the mohawk look! But he's gotta spike it up!
