| See, goofy! I'm not easily offended. I was just joking! Quick! Top 3 favorite Gaslight songs at the moment. GO! Mine are Bring It On, She Loves You, and Here Comes My Man. | |

| Ah, good choices! Honestly, anything but Red in the Morning would be a good choice. I like that song, but it's my least favorite. Do you have a personal connection to those songs/lyrics? | |

| Old Haunts does have a great attitude to it. When I first heard it, I thought that is was kind of an answer to John Mellencamp's Cherry Bomb, especially since the song starts out with "Cherry bomb you are a mystery..." I like the idea of not dwelling on the past and just letting it go.
Film Noir is just such a cool song. It has always stood out to me on The '59 Sound. Poor Matilda with her broken bones...
I think She Loves You is the most beautifully poetic song ever written and it holds a very special place in my heart. Those lyrics...sigh.

| The one song I didn't really enjoy when I first heard it was We Did It When We Were Young. I didn't think it was a good ending song for American Slang. But then I saw an acoustic version of it on youtube and fell in love with it. | |

Haha, in a different way. This is more of a relaxed/romantic night driving song.

I really like WDIWWWW. It reminds me so much of my psycho cousin and her husband, but they still haven't grown up. They haven't moved on from that immature place even though they are older now. I should lock them in a room and just play this song for hours and hours until it sinks in that they need to grow up. But I think this song kind of set things up for Elsie, with it being slower and deeper than the rest of AS. I wonder if that was intentional... ------- https://thegaslightanthem.forumotion.com/viewtopic.forum?t=4403
