Brixton Academy, London, 15 & 17 October 2012

The only thing is...2 nights in Brixton, could lead to 2 different setlists...

Give or take one or two songs...I think the setlist will probably be the same for both nights

Honestly don't know...more and more they seem to channel PJ...

With more songs in their catalogue, I say it's possible.

Likewise mate haha Brangwyn Hall could actually be a cool venue, Dropkick Murphys, Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish all played there in recent years. But I'm more than happy to travel to Birmingham or Bristol etc

In regards to the setlist, I hope it will be different (this is if I manage to get to both, or either!)

I saw Brand New at the Roundhouse in February, hey played 2 shows there and the setlists were different. (that being said, I also saw them in Southampton on the same tour and the setlist was different there too)

Channeling PJ is no bad thing! 2 shows, 4 albums and an EP... play the whole catalogue in one city?

2 dates over 3 days could make things tricky, not a lot of leave to play with .

Laudrup is a guy of class, you lot will be just fine.

Am I happy? Yes, a fantastic manager that fitted the swans way of play, I hope he takes it over to us. Lot of respect to Swansea, they took on the Premier League with the attitude that very few promoted teams have done. I hope you have a long time in this league.

Cheers mate. Brendan is an absolute legend, great manager and a great bloke. Laudrup is definitely the man for the job in my opinion and I hope he can convince Sigurdsson to join us instead of you lot

Sigurdsson at least has the class to want to speak to your new manager first, before us. Lot of respect to him for that, either way, fair play to him.

hope you can make some other gigs then.

I have to be in the UK the week after that for work, so could potentially have a week off and do a roadtrip. But of course, they'd have to play more gigs then and the venues/locations would have to be interesting. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Brixton, ah have fond memories of that venue. Though indeed, 2 gigs? That's pretty ambitious to fill within 3 nights.

Will totally be there for both nights if I can get tickets.

Wonder if this "fanclub" thing will make an appearance before the fall gigs go on sale...

I think it will, as HMV are running a comp for soundchecks for the London show...

I think that's what they're aiming for.

The soundcheck thing isn't a sure thing for the fanclub. What Brian told me was that they might do it, now and then perhaps every 10-15 gigs or so etc. Just because they're letting people win access to a soundcheck doesn't mean the "fanclub" thing is involved. So I hope they're finalizing the details and let us know soon!

I don't think they would do the comp. without having an idea...

Lots of bands do two nights in a row in Brixton. I think they would sell out both. Can't see a 3rd show happening though. I do love the Brixton Academy, although I would rather see them outside of London. Cambridge, Brighton, Dublin or Cardiff would be nice. Scotland, too - although here the flight connection not that good.

btw, I added the dates to the EU tour thread.

If they do Belfast...that needs to be done...we rock.

Well Brian wrote in the blog that they will launch the new website, store and fanclub before the album is out. So there is hopefully some fanclub action going on during that tour already.

I want to go this! Is there seating? I've never heard of the venue.
