| Certainly what it looks like what a crock of shit I dont want to see Gaslight play massive venues like that outside of festivals the forum would have been about right in terms of size. Brixton is just an huge venue devoid of any character. | |

Venue change? very odd; I can see them change from one HMV venue to another, but to an O2 venue just because it is sold out? [edit: it has indeed moved; so what do I know]

| Hoping they keep the Oxford date the same.
Not sure where else they could play in Oxford but a venue size of less than 600 at the moment is seeming like by far the smallest.

Venue change? Yes. I have checked with the HMV Forum's PR rep and it is indeed a change of venue to the Brixton Academy. Whether we like it or not, that's the way it's going. At least it's not the O2 itself (yet).

| Its not that fact its been upgraded that bothers me as I want Gaslight to be as successful as possible. It is the fact they sold out the forum but why not be happy with that and keep it special for those that did get tickets. This applies to any show that gets upgraded. Suppose the allure of selling more tickets and making more money is far more attractive to big promoters such as livenation (who own almost all the big venues in London). Fuck capitalism haha | |

| I was looking forward to finally going to another venue in London, I've only ever been to Brixton (and stadiums) in London! | |

I think we have reached an interesting point in the band's growth. Will the Gaslight Anthem turn into a band controlled by big money or stand by their ideals? Will they and their management be strong enough to stand up to the promoters? At least they're not with a money grabing label and have shown in the past that they won't compromise, at least artistically. My guess is that this won't have struck them in the way it has us. I wonder though what else is lined up, that they didn't simply add a second London date.

| Shame really but it is a sign of the band getting bigger and bigger. It will be interesting as Steady Now says about how the band and their management approach their increasing popularity. | |

| I assume this is one of the biggest venues they have played a headline gig at, as it has a capacity of 4,921 (that's only 600 less than the Royal Albert Hall). | |

| From MySpace:
Hey everyone,
Because the Forum sold out so fast, we've moved the show to the Brixton Academy. The show is the same date and everyone's tickets are still good for the new venue. All original tickets remain valid. The show is 14+ (With an adult and 16-18 with photo ID).
Tickets can be found here: http://www.livenation.co.uk/event/11955/the-gaslight-anthem-tickets
The address is : O2 Academy Brixton, 211 Stockwell Road, SW9 9SL
Thanks | |

| I quite like Brixton as a venue, but I really don't fancy taking my chances on the street on a Saturday night. I live in North West London so the forum would've been ideal for me. Most of the tube doesn't work on a weekend either | |
