2010, me too! i'm antsy for a road trip and some Gaslight shows! that's my main motivation for getting a better job, so i can afford road trips and shows!

The more I think about it the more I'm like- actually wtf do I care about layovers. I've been spoiled by the convenience of direct flights! lol

Next question- what's the longest you've spent driving alone? For me it was a 6hr trip to Richmond that turned into 8 hours cus the last hour of the trip was so traffic-ridden (it was rush hour). But it was more tolerable than I thought.

hmm. i used to drive 8 hours from here to Santa Barbara. one time i got turned around and it ended up being nearly 12 hours. i think that's the longest i've ever done by myself.

I love driving, whether it's by myself or with a group.

me too, for the most part, but i fucking HATE traffic. i'm the most impatient person, and it drives me crazy.

If I have music playing, I don't mind TOO much, we don't get mad traffic here (thankfully) so the most you will be in jams for, is about 15 minutes.

We travelled from the top of N.Ireland to the bottom of Ireland once for a show (yes, wrestling) and it was the best day ever. Also drove from N.Ireland down to Ireland, got a boat over to Wales, drove down through Wales, and down to almost London for a show, then straight back up, that was great fun.

and when I say we...I mean me, noone else seems to drive that I know

Longest road trip I've had was a 9 hour drive to France overnight which turned into about 14 hours with the ferry crossing and getting lost

I think I'm going mountain biking in the south of France with my friend at some point over summer so that could be an even longer trip

oh, you've been to France? i'm jealous. did you just go for mountain biking, or did you actually go anywhere fun?

Yeah, I was coming back from Detroit, we had missed our connection, so I was tired, cranky and hungry. I went to buy a Mars Bar and a Sprite, they tried to ID me...I lost it.

Yeah, I was coming back from Detroit, we had missed our connection, so I was tired, cranky and hungry. I went to buy a Mars Bar and a Sprite, they tried to ID me...I lost it.

haha, ahh, well that makes more sense knowing that you lost your temper with them! why did they need an ID in order for you to buy a candy bar and a pop?

I've been loads. Used to go every summer with my family. Been to Paris a few times, been to loads of different places. The time with the really long road trip was to see a uni friend who was studying over there for a year. I haven't been mountain biking in France yet but can't wait for summer if I can get something sorted.

I think that was what I couldn't take in after 2 days of no sleep, and probably near 2 days of nothing to eat, and missed flights

I also just don't like France to be honest.
