Do you guys like Billy Talent? It irks me that they don't play America anymore. The last time was in '09. Hoping they get another opening slot on a tour over here or something.

Billy Talent are amazing. I'm looking forward to IV being released.

I saw them open for Rise Against with Rancid. What an amazing tour that was. BT freaked me OUT but in a good way. Saw them headline once in NYC on a tour that was really short then never heard from them again. I saw Ben totally diss America in some live video so I wondered if they are just not doing that great here or what. Like Robbie Williams. Last time he played here was in like 1999. The only way I saw him live was at a Carson Daly taping. *sigh*

Maybe they feel that way because they're Canadian? I can't seem to see why they wouldn't be doing well though - they're building quite a following everywhere. I saw them play at a day festival in London in 2008. 30 Seconds to Mars were the headliners, with BT on just before them and they completely upstaged 30STM. Such a brilliant gig.

I think the show was in Norway and they were like "We'll trade you Sweden for America." I was like "HEY!" ha

I don't know what's up here. But I would agree they're better live than 30STM. Not that 30STM is bad, but in comparison, BT is wicked awesome.

the only time I saw 30stm live they were painfully bad. good lord.

Maccabees would be quite cool, as would Bombay Bicycle Club, but Crystal Castles are the only ones I have a massive desire to see because I know it would be completely mental.

I'm quite a big fan of 30STM, but they just didn't compare to BT on the day. I was quite bruised by the end of it

I never used to be but one of my friends at uni was into them in a big way, and after lots of nights of drinking etc with him playing them constantly I started to see the appeal.

it might have to do with the fact that I don't drink? haha

That's definitely a possibility. Maybe you should drink
