2012 concerts

What concerts are you looking forward to this year?

Right now it looks like I'm going to these concerts:
-Gregory Alan Isakov in March
-Bon Iver in April
-Greg Laswell sometime this spring

I might also go see Social Distortion next week but I haven't decided yet.

I'm pretty jealous of Bon Iver.

I've got Angels & Airwaves and blink-182 twice coming up, but I've seen both before.

BUT, the one I'm looking forward to most is the Australian Pink Floyd Show. Only a cover band, but as close to the original as I'll get. And they're awesome

Damn, I've always wanted to see blink-182.

They're truly terrible live, but it's a great experience nonetheless.

I have Brand New on Thursday, We are Augustines in March , Alkaline Trio and Dave Hause in May, Bruuuce in July (and whoever else is at Hard Rock).

If i don't see The National at some point i will not be happy.

The Civil Wars in march, Anti Flag and Frank Turner in april, Rise Against in june. and in july Bruce Springsteen, Lady Antebellum and Blink-182 (with the All-American Rejects...). not a bad mix if you ask me

That's a reasonable reason to boycott

it is, and i admire them for standing up for what they believe in. it just sucks for the fans who had nothing to do with it! hopefully it has made a difference and been worth it. last time i saw Gaslight, i thanked Brian for still coming to AZ despite SB 1070, and he basically said since it wasn't something we had a chance to vote on, it wasn't fair to punish fans by not playing there.

That's really admirable of them to do that for the fans. I respect the bands that are boycotting so much for this too, even if it does affect their fans in a small way

Seattle as a much nicer supply of concerts than Pittsburgh ever did...

So far I've gotten to see Banner Pilot/Broadway Calls this year. Got Mutemath comming up this week, Craig Finn's solo thing later this month and Andrew W.K. start of March.

Then 3/23 is Kaiser Chiefs, 3/24 is The Wonder Years, 3/25 is Lucero, 3/27 is Fake Problems and Say Anything and 3/29 is Mixtapes. Its like the best you can hope for from a music festival, but you get full club shows from all the bands. I'm not sure how I'm going to survive that week, but its going to be incredible.

Probably gonna pass on Rise Against and the Black Keys/Arctic Monkeys shows. Arena shows just are not the same as the club experience and I'm not worried about never getting to see any of those bands play again. (I'll be first in line for Springsteen tickets once a show is announced around here though. Venue and price don't matter on that one).

Was gonna see frank turner tonight but found out the show is 21+. Noooooooooo!!!
On the bright side, there's fakey p's and springsteen in the upcoming months

So far I have seen Wilco this year and I have tickets to go see Cloud Nothings in March.

yeah, you didn't do much for me w/ Wilco earlier, and I am not ashamed to admit that I may be completely lame in saying this, but, never heard of Cloud Nothings. kind of a random band name though.
