*bumps thread incase any recent newcomers are going*

current list of bands I'm gonna try and see:

Frank Turner (not gonna miss this one. Fest seems like the perfect place to see him)
No Trigger (Tycoon is so good and they apparently don't tour this side of the country much if ever so gotta make sure I see 'em)
Front Bottoms (Really grew to like these guys after seeing them with Fakey Ps. Wanna make sure they get lots of fest lovin)
Menzingers (only a couple other bands are as on top of their game as the Menzingers are right now. Seen 'em a couple times recently, but never a good idea to pass them up)
Junior Battles (loved their show at fest last year and they haven't toured here recent so yeah)
Luther (blew me away with Menzingers and the Souls. need to see 'em again after actually knowing some songs)
Mixtapes (the perfect fest band. Normally you see them and its like 10 people in a crowd of 200 who knows who the fuck they are. at fest the whole venue is packed with fans)
Red City Radio (Missed these guys for Banquets last year. Don't regret that, but wanna make sure I catch 'em this year)
Streetlight Manifesto (because what could be better than skanking at fest?)
Banner Pilot (loved their last show I saw. need to see 'em again).

still a bunch of other bands that would be great if I get to see but those are the ten I'm really hoping all work out. I imagine I'll probably face one or two conflicts with those guys, but maybe I'll get lucky. =) (Feel like I've expanded my punk rock boundaries a lot this year last year it was like "Um... I wanna see The Souls and HWM and BLR and Banquets" so much more this year =)

Meh. Would've lost my shit if Lawrence Arms got added... maybe I just haven't heard enough of Latterman's stuff to get really excited about them.

I'll go see Timeshares/Hold Tight for you as long as they don't conflict with anything I really want to see

It will be the hardest set to get into at Fest I'm betting. Just like I heard horror stories about trying to get in during Kid Dynamite when I had 0 issues...

But Latterman are pretty solid. Absolutely nothing special, but a million bands have copied their style, so they must have been doing something right.

Can't wait to see the schedule this year, its gonna be a doozy

I got my fingers crossed for a Great Neck / Mongol Horde show.

No one has a spare hotel room for this thing yet, right? Even days inn is sold out now... shouldn't have been so lazy getting the room... need to remember next year to book gainseville lodge like right when dates get confirmed or sooner =P

I'd love to go to this one year, all my friends are just terrible and this isn't their kind of thing though. Awful, awful people.

You don't need friends to go to fest. There are plenty to make at fest itself.

Fans of The Hold Steady should definitely check out Billy Wallace and The Virginia Blues, they are easily one of the most underrated bands on the line-up and are one of the closest sounding bands to THC around and also sound a lot like Craig Finn's solo work.

I know. I'm probably going to cry when the schedule comes out as there is bound to be a bunch of sucky conflicts, but like, Frank Turner, Fake Problems, The Menzingers, Banner Pilot, Streetlight, Junior Battles, Mixtapes, No Trigger... Triple conflict between Blacklist Royals, Broadway Calls and Streetlight on Saturday sucks though. Also I don't even see No Trigger on the list. But that Sunday lineup... three of my favorite bands and a bunch of other good ones. Going to be quite the experience. Really wish you could come Colin =(

Always next year! This year has flown by pretty quickly and I won't be at school at that point. Very excited for you though! Tons of conflicts as to be expected. Maybe it was good that Spraynard and Algernon broke up, now there aren't as many conflicts.

Also what is Stereo? Is it that nightclub across the street-ish from the venue? Because the lineup there Saturday and Sunday is unbelievably good.

If you could pick me up the Lemuria fest shirt I would be super grateful!

More bummed about missing Latterman. I need to be back to student teach the next day at 9am. But at least Friday, Saturday, and the first part of Sunday are killer.

I'd see Latterman if there were no conflicts, but not gonna lose any sleep over missing them for Frank. But then, Frank's my second favorite band =P

Can someone explain to me the layout of this schedule? The order the times are listed seem very random and go into AM so I'm not sure exactly what AM they're talking about (the day listed or the day following). Kind of confusing.

It is kind of stupid that they did this. For Friday night the top times are Saturday early in the morning. But the day actually starts at 4:40pm. The first band is Traveling inside at Boca Fiesta. The rest of the days follow the same format.

Make sure to attend after parties/hotel room shows/after shows. Those were my favorite experiences at Fest. That Laser Tag Bar show being one of the best shows I've been to period.
