Definitely. I have taken some classes before that I was sure would be mind-numbingly boring, but the teacher was great so it made a huge difference. The opposite has happened too. I just think if a person is going to teach, they should really have a passion for it. Their students deserve that.

Absolutely. That's why I loved my Intro to Lit class -- my professor brought new life to this text that could've otherwise been dull and boring. She also made studying so much more fun. You could tell she really loved teaching us.
