Typical British public. It's on tv, they buy it.

Doesn't seem like NBC is gonna show him.

Funny. The other day I read an interview with a spanish mag and he said that we was angry with the Olympics. He blamed politicians (who don't even live in London) for this and said that money should be spent on other things that are more important.
It is not a contradiction at all. They are going to do do it whether he performs or not, and he might not agree with the use of that money but he can actually make a difference. He can assure that a little bit of that money is used as a plataform to expose a honest, hard-working artist whose music has changed a lot of lives. I mean instead of a LMFAO show.
Well, what you say is true and, obviously, is way better to have Frank playing there than LMFAO as you mentioned (in my opinion). But I do think that ends shouldn't justify means.
Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy for him and I hope that this allows people to know "other" music!

Danny Boyle did miss a trick with Frank Turner... he should have had him play Rivers over the top of that video of the River Thames & the English countryside just after Frank's set and just before the ceremony got going.

NBC didn't show it. They skipped the pre-ceremony stuff all-together.

I was aware that there would be a certain degree of backlash, as there has been. At the end of the day people are entitled to their opinion; mine is that it was a good call, and it's my decision to make. As far as people saying "sell out" or whatever goes, I'd just point out that I didn't get paid, I didn't have any interaction with any corporate sponsors, and I'm still doing what I do the same way I always have - indie label, shoulder to the wheel. I guess there's just a bigger audience now.

Frank Turner Launches New Band - 6 Aug 2012 |
Frank Turner has posted a video containing material from his new project Mongol Horde.
Way back before he became a politically motivated acoustic strummer, Frank Turner was a bit of a punk hero. Leading Million Dead, he re-tooled Hardcore for a British audience and laid siege to the nation's live music venue.

I love Frank Turner and his solo stuff, but I absolutely hate what I've heard of his new project Mongol Horde. It's horrible, in my opinion (which is subjective). I actually dislike it more than TGA's Nirvana cover (I know, they're two completely different scenarios).
But I am definitely excited for a new Frank Turner album, as his solo stuff rules!

I saw him open for Dropkick back in March. I've always been a huge Dropkick fan. I enjoyed Frank much more, musically at least. Yeah. FANTASTIC STUFF.

So finally decided to give him a listen because he got 42 flippin pages on a TGA fansite, and he is absoliutley incredible. I feel like an idiot for not listening to you guys in the first place!
I do have a question, if I wanna get all his stuff, excluding the live album, what do I need to get? I noticed he has two albums, the first three years and the second three years. Are those compilations of all his music?
