This is crazy. Maybe the one thing that will actually get me to watch the ceremonies.

facebook group, there's a tiny video of him rehearsing at the stadium and he kinda confirmed that via e-mail to a fan. I think they're not supposed to say anything...?

The exposure for him if his part airs on TV is going to send him to the stars!

It better air on TV! My DVR says the ceremony is 4.5 hours long. I'm not gonna watch all that but I'm gonna record it. So if it's 4.5 hours and he doesn't make the cut then that would suck.

Opening ceremony is on 7:30-midnight tomorrow on NBC (just FYI).

From what I heard he played Wessex Boy, I still believe and Photosynthesis at the rehearsal. If his performance will be aired on tv (what I hope!) this is huge for him, such a big opportunity! And he deserves it! We all can say then we knew FT before he got famous!;-)

I'd have thought Wessex Boy and Rivers would be the most appropriate!
Gaslight at number 2 and FT at the Olympics Opening Ceremony...can't believe it. Proud!

This.
Seeing that many people at a Frank show is kind of surreal. Good for him (and them) though.

Bloody hell, when did organisers of events like this find a musical taste/opinion that doesn't simply pander to the manufactured pop loving masses I hope he makes the cut on TV

Funny. The other day I read an interview with a spanish mag and he said that we was angry with the Olympics. He blamed politicians (who don't even live in London) for this and said that money should be spent on other things that are more important.

Frank just posted this on his Facebook:
"If you're near a TV that has BBC 1, any not doing anything else, you might want to have a watch from about 8.20 onwards."
SICK. I feel proud for some reason.

I've read that he has played "I Still Believe" just 20 minutos ago (before the start...).

It is not a contradiction at all. They are going to do do it whether he performs or not, and he might not agree with the use of that money but he can actually make a difference. He can assure that a little bit of that money is used as a plataform to expose a honest, hard-working artist whose music has changed a lot of lives. I mean instead of a LMFAO show.

The whole opening ceremony is based on British history... from the medieval period to the present. Just wait for the smokestacks of the industrial revolution!

Amazing. Really just amazing. Hope NBC shows it, doubt they will. But like, yeah. He's played Wimbly and taking part in the Olympics. What's left for him to do?
