Benny makes an interesting point, and the part about mental health being a guess pretty much is actually kind of true. My brother(s) have studied psychology and its very much a kind of guessing game when it comes to treatment. Because what works for one person won't work for everyone.

Benny always makes good point. Though I think he forgot about my poster from asbury

he does post some interesting things. i completely see where he is coming from, but as someone who has benefitted from certain medications, i wouldn't write them off completely. i think people need to start accepting mental health as being as important as physical health. but i agree overall.

I agree with you, Steph. A lot of people think that psychological conditions are just "all in your head" (no pun intended) and a person should be able to snap out of it. That's not how it works. For a person to be physically healthy, they need to be mentally healthy as well. Because if you feel like crap emotionally or psychologically, symptoms can manifest themselves in a physical way.

I totally see where Benny is coming from too, and I don't think he was writing off legitimate medications, just those pitched during informercials on late night TV that prey on the weak and vulnerable.

And that they marketed the disease first to get everyone all worked up so they'd rejoice when a 'cure' was announced. I never even thought of it like that.
