| 9 months on the road?! I guess when all I really care about is the one day they're close to me, I don't notice that they're on the road so much. I could never do that. I'd be homesick far too easily and far too often. |

| i hope nothing he may have read here has affected him negatively that's exactly why i would never want to be famous, all that shit you have to deal with, the way people would treat you, all the expectations, the loss of anonymity...can't imagine what that's like! i don't want to bring shit up, but that is what annoys me, when people complain about someone in the band (or anyone in that type of situation) for some comment in an article, they get upset like they really know the person at all. | |

i'll change my post if it seems like it's stirring stuff up again, i tried to word it delicately, i just thought it was relevant to Benny's blog post. not sure if you were around for these, but Benny has done chats here a couple times. so at the very least, he's aware of us.

na doesnt seem like your stirring stuff up! hard to take what people mean sometimes on a forum lol yeah, he did one about two years ago, and then one...maybe a few months back? the last one was pretty amusing he's a really decent person (i feel dumb saying that now, kind of ironic that i am commenting on his personality and assuming things, based on the blog post we're discussing!), but it was really cool of him to do that w/ us, not being an official forum or for any press or anything.

| Yeah, Steph your comment is totally fine and I don't think anyone's looking to get that whole mess going again. It is hard to take what people mean on here sometimes. I don't think everyone who got upset over the articles felt they knew the guys I think it just hit a sore spot. Hopefully that's all behind us now.
I always wonder how much they read on here. I'd guess Benny read the Guardian article and at least some of the comments because of this.
@MichaelAHann @bennyhorowitz1 Hi. Headline wasn't ideal, but my copy didn't sensationalise anything, as I'm sure you know.
@bennyhorowitz1 @MichaelAHann Thought most of it was great. Didn't enjoy headline and first paragraph, pretty harmful. Thanks for the effort to clarify it.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think there's anything wrong with saying things like "I talked to him and he's a really decent person". He DID do something decent. He took time out of his day to talk with a bunch of crazy fans It's an observation. Everyone makes them about everyone. It's just when people pretend they know someone's life history or when they assume the worst off of one comment, that's when it's an issue.

yeah, i saw those tweets, too. he (Benny) is good at expressing his point of view- letting the guy know what he didn't like but still being respectful. i get tonguetied sometimes cause i can't form my thoughts into eloquent words as fast as i'm thinking, so i admire that quality

| If Benny knew the amount of perfectly good bottled water that gets thrown out on the film shoots I work on, he'd probably be sick. It's awful, people take a sip then abandon the bottle. | |

| It is scary to know now that the NE is at risk for more than just blizzards now. But at least we are more aware. Although Idk how much we can do about it. | |

I think Benny hit it square on the head. The south will, and is, reexamining where and how to build new houses. That will help definitely. But the shore won't be the same. I know that a lot of towns who lost boardwalks are considering making them out of plastic/fake wood. In the long run its better (price and maintenance wise) but takes away from the classy feel of regular wood. It's going to be weird to say to the younger generations "I remember when board walks were made with real boards" As for the north: people will own generators now and will certainly stock up on gas when a major storm is forecasted. Worst case you dump the gas in your car if you don't use it. I know the worst thing for me was waiting 2 hours to get gas for our generator. Different world.
