Kinda disappointed they didn't do We Came to Dance, but Wooderson, I'da Called..., Drive and Wherefore... all made up for it So good! I couldn't tell how many people showed up though as I was down front. Anyone know?

| ugh, how unbelievable and flawless WAS that?!
Absolutely unreal. 17 hours in the car, 5 hours in front of that stage, all culminating in the best show I have ever seen them put on. I've waited since September for this. Completely unreal. I have never been this happy or had so much fun at a show.
As a plus, I am a big, lifelong (well, the band's life) New Found Glory fan, and having Jordan Pundik jump down from the stage and grab the back of my neck and put the microphone against my mouth during Hit or Miss was... I don't even. I cried. Once he backed away, because he stood there for a good while singing with everyone around me, I cried like a little moron. No shame. That was glorious.
BUT ANYWAY. I basically had the time of my life. I have never been a festival person but I wanted to do it for Gaslight this time. I expected to be miserable up until their set. The weather couldn't have been better, people were great, and it was just fantastic. After NFG I suddenly found myself surrounded by all you Gaslight bros! I loved the little singalong that started for several seconds. I am just incredibly high from all this still. This has been an unbelievable few days.
Ran into Brian at Dave Hause's gig in Asbury Park on Thursday night, Rosamilia was at Titus Andronicus last night, and Levine happened to show up at the diner my husband and I were already at. We waved but left him alone otherwise, although he stopped by our table on his way out to say hello. Very kind of him! This band just makes me so damn happy to be alive.
I continue to owe my heart to Ian. He is such a stellar guy, and SO much fun to talk to. We have a lot in common so conversation is always great. I have a bunch of pictures to look through and see if any turned out... it was my first time taking a camera to a Gaslight show, mainly because I am so into it that I don't want to miss a singe second by messing with a camera. I tried to get a few tonight, though. Still didn't get many! ha. I'll come back with any ones that I like as well as a picture of the setlist.

It is hard to do both (take photos and be into the show). I was shooting in the pit screaming along like a fan girl while I snapped away. PS I was caught: http://www.flickr.com/photos/starstruck76/5676260391 (definitely not indicative of the photos I got. This was totally red and photoshopped in a hurry).

Anyone know? i was actually thinking in the car on the way home how it was the first festival show i can remember where they haven't played we came to dance. personally, having seen them so many times, i prefer seeing a rarer song such as wooderson to a song they seem to play at almost every show.

PS I don't know how the hell NJ.Com gets up their stuff so fast. Well, I guess when you're in the photo pit for a few minutes or just standing at the back of the crowd, any show is going to seem pretty unimpressive. They should probably ask an actual fan who lives and breathes for this band and was right up in the immediate front of the crowd, surrounded by hundreds of others who feel the same way, what they thought of the show and the crowd. As a side note, I have no idea who this Wiz Khalifa is. The name kind of popped up out of nowhere a while back and I continue to be clueless. Am I old?

How do you manage to get hold of setlists? It varies from band to band... for Gaslight, it started out as luck/being right up front and able to grab... as they moved to bigger venues, my husband and I just kind of used our little friendship with Ian to make sure he tosses one our way. Our offer of taking him to dinner for it continues to stand; thanks to him, we're 8 for 8 with Gaslight setlists! I know they're just pieces of paper but I love having them. We frame them all and now that we're out of space in the hallway for them, we're trying to figure out what to do next. Usually just asking nicely does the trick. For bigger bands, it's usually a ton of people screeching and grabbing vs. my husband calmly raising his hand and saying "can I please get a setlist"... surprises most people, who in turn hook us up. And sometimes the stage is small and you can just reach over and pick it up. Always ask first, though, since it's just the nice thing to do. I know we've ran into a band or two who reuse the lists from night to night. I have acquired several during the past week. Not sure of the final count just yet, but once I get back form my little vacation/roadtrip for concerts just because I can, I'll sort it out. Our collection is dangerously approaching 100 since May of 2004, when we grabbed our first one (Andrew WK!)

| I bootlegged the 2nd half of the show, from wooderson on. I still need to clean it up and post it. unfortunately it's mother's day weekend and I have a sick toddler on my hands so gaslight is taking a bit of a backseat, but I'll get it together soon. when it's done, I'll let you guys know.
in the meantime, I also recorded a few others at bamboozle. the frank turer and river city extension full sets have already been posted. feel free to peruse at will...
